My biggest gripe with this store is that no matter what time you go, you always spend more time waiting to checkout than actually shopping, no urgency whatsoever. So if you want to spend an eternity here, then be my guest. Otherwise, order online for pickup and they bring it to your car.

As I was walking through the aisles, an employee in a Vons uniform pushed a cart past me and quietly said, “We have facial recognition” — twice — directly as he passed me. There was no reason for him to say that to me, and the way he did it felt targeted and completely inappropriate. It was unprofessional, unnecessary, and honestly humiliating. What makes this even more frustrating is that this isn’t the first time I’ve seen someone innocent get profiled in this store. I’ve watched other customers be singled out or treated suspiciously for no clear reason. So this incident didn’t feel random — it felt like part of a larger problem. I used to work in loss prevention, and I know how these interactions are supposed to be handled. This was not it. After this experience, I won’t be returning.
