I came here to pick up a salad that I ordered and it was absolutely delicious. Everything was so fresh crisp and perfect. But the service was phenomenal. So friendly and kind. I'll definitely be back! Thank you!

Food was absolutely delicious. Stayed over the weekend with the family in San Diego and I wanted to try a new restaurant. Came to the ideal spot. Their burgers, fries, onion rings and sauces were fire. Would recommend 💯 %

The Havarti Shroom Burger and the French Onion Soup Burger were delicious. I'm so glad I finally tried this place. The Havarti Shroom Burger has a Jalapeño Scallion Aioli. You don't see that everyday. And the Parmesan crusted bun and Gruyere cheese on the French Onion Soup Burger made it really memorable. I didn't realize that they had such unique burgers. I'm gonna have all kinds of fun trying the other burgers, repeating those two, and doing the Build Your Own option.

I consider The Stand to be the best burger restaurant in San Diego. Fresh meat, excellent options to customize your burger, fantastic sides (e.g. onion rings are spectacular). I brought my 15 year old son here and he wasn't enthusiastic about going. However, when we got the food he was converted and noted that his food was excellent.

The Stand is a modern take on classic American comfort food, with a menu built around burgers, sandwiches, salads, bowls, and other familiar favorites. The space has a mix of a casual diner and a sports bar feel, with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating options that make it work for different occasions. It has a lively atmosphere that feels more polished than a typical fast-casual spot while still keeping things relaxed and approachable. The burgers are the main highlight, with a variety of options ranging from classic builds to more creative combinations. The Ultimate Egg Burger stands out as a more indulgent choice, while options like the Big Blue Burger bring stronger flavors with the addition of blue cheese. The burgers come together well with quality ingredients and satisfying portions, making them a good choice if you are looking for a filling meal. Beyond burgers, the menu also offers items like the short rib grilled cheese, buffalo chicken sandwich, BBQ brisket, and salads for a wider range of options. The sides are worth adding to the meal, especially the onion rings and fries, which pair naturally with the burgers and sandwiches. The shake selection also adds to the classic American comfort food theme, making the menu feel complete rather than just focused on one category. Service is generally efficient, with the ordering process feeling closer to a fast-casual setup while still having food brought out to the table. The staff helps keep the experience smooth even when the restaurant gets busy, and the combination of indoor seating, outdoor space, and bar seating makes it a flexible spot for casual meals, meetups, or watching a game. Overall, The Stand does a good job of taking familiar American classics and making them feel a little more elevated. It is a reliable option when you want a good burger, comfort food, and a lively environment without feeling like a traditional fast-food stop.
