Our party of six was on a birthday outing. My friend and I enjoy the Prado as one of our special places. We don't object to the price of a good meal but his serving of short ribs was about one third fat, unacceptable in any fine restaurant. When he called the server's attention to it she simply said that the cut of meat is fatty. It felt like she just blew him off. I also had the short rib dinner and mine was delicious and had very little fat; the same was true for another member of our party. Also the crostini with the crab dip was very tasty but a little difficult to eat as it was so thick and hard. I'd suggest that you cut it thinner. We still like the Prado and will return although this visit was somewhat disappointing.

they charge a 5% hidden fee, which is absolutely unacceptable for a restaurant with these upscale base prices (and any respectable restaurant in my opinion)
the atmosphere is great, and perhaps worth the high advertised prices. the cocktails and appetizers tasted great. the main courses were okay, but underwhelming for the prices. the service was good. the bill which came with a 5% hidden fee in addition to tip options ranging from 18-22% ruined my perception of the whole experience. shame on you for deceiving and gouging your customers

Absolutely delicious across the board; everything we tried was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully put together. The drinks were just as impressive, with a solid menu and a bartender who clearly knows what they’re doing.
The vibe is where this spot really shines. The atmosphere was lively without being chaotic, stylish without trying too hard. Service was friendly, attentive, and on point the whole time. And being right in Balboa Park makes it even better. It is perfect for a post-walk meal or a relaxed night out.
Definitely one of those places you leave already planning your next visit. Highly recommend.

I came during lunch for their happy hour menu. They are dog friendly and the setting is beautiful!
I got their birria chips and dip, rolled tacos, fish tacos, and mole chicken wings. I had some wine also but it wasnt very smooth.
The food is ok, I wouldn't pay for them outside of the happy hour menu, but service and excellent atmosphere is worth being here. I love this place as its always a good time.

Walk in the door, no greeting just the question walk-in or reservation? Walk-in. Then get seated in the worst seat in the place, Table 316, where server and customer have to squeeze by you. The food not so good. Fries served cold and shaved meat in sandwich was minimum. The three taco plate was where the taco shells were slimy, not the usual crisp kind and tasteless. Margaritas served in a cocktail glass and much to much ice. What a waste of money.
