  Chill staff with friendly conversations and an insight into the area that they are willing to give. Showed me how tight knit the reasturant community is here, by recommending other reasturants to check out in my travels for the area.

  I’ve been here multiple times and the food/service is always excellent - the bowls, wraps, fries, etc. They even have free purified water! The restaurant is very clean and the owner takes a lot of pride in creating an exceptional experience. 10/10!

  Very disappointing experience. I work as a delivery driver and simply asked for a cup of water while picking up an order. I was told they couldn't provide any water. Apparently, they don't even offer water to their customers. After years of doing deliveries throughout San Diego, this is the only restaurant that has ever refused to give me a cup of water. It's hard to understand how a restaurant can operate without providing something as basic as drinking water. Not welcoming, not professional, and very disappointing.

  Here's my honest experience at Shawarma Shack: my brother and I discovered this place on Google Maps and immediately were attracted to the high ratings and good review, so we decided it was close and gave it a try. Tbh I think overall it was a bit over-priced for what we got. It was good food, but I had wished just some more was provided. there was very little rice that came with the entree. Having just done major cardio, I had to order extra rice, which itself was kind of pricey. The sauces provided were also in meager amount. I had used up nearly all of the two that came with the dish. The green dressing on one of the dishes (see top left): as a lover of fresh sauces I immediately went to this, and after a quick bite, I had to spit it out — very raw, and hard to see how anybody would find it appealing, even to add it to the rice and meat portions of the same dish. When was I leaving, I realized I got a little thirty and asked for a cup of water (to note: we didn't receive it during the meal, which is fine and I am fine with saving water unless asked by customers). However - the server responded that they don't offer water. What? A restaurant that does not offer to customers? That really does not sound like a restaurant I would recommend! It was a little off-putting even though arguably not that big of a deal. The ipad display receipts are intended to show expected costs per person (separate for each person - to give you an estimate of the cost).

  We came here expecting real shawarma, especially after seeing the menu photos, but it was a huge disappointment. If you’ve had authentic shawarma before, you’ll immediately understand what’s missing here — no flavor, no proper seasoning, no juicy meat, and none of that fresh, smoky taste that real shawarma should have. The chicken, beef, and gyro all looked great on the menu, but the food we received tasted bland, dry, and low quality. The restaurant itself was clean and looked nice, but unfortunately the food was nowhere near authentic. Definitely not a place I would recommend if you’re looking for real shawarma.
