  I booked a reservation for a party of three on a Friday during Golden Hour, which runs daily from 4–5 PM. There’s only street parking, and it can be a little tricky to find a spot. I ended up parking about a five minute walk away. When you walk in you’re greeted by the hostess, and you can choose to sit inside, at the bar, or outside by the pool. We ordered: • Pickle Dip: This was delicious and came with nice, crispy chips for dipping. • Animal Fries: Fresh, filling, and really tasty. Definitely easy to share. • Poolside Ceviche: The fish tasted very fresh, and it came with a bowl of tortilla chips. • Cheeseburger: A simple, classic cheeseburger with a bun, beef patty, and cheese, but still really good. During Golden Hour appetizers and favorites are 50% off, which makes the prices especially good. They also have drink specials including select wines for $10. By the pool they have a projector and host movie nights so definitely check their schedule if that sounds fun. When we visited there were quite a few customers inside. We were the only ones actually seated by the pool, and we saw a couple of hotel guests laying out, but no one was swimming. Another big perk is that they’re dog friendly and will bring you a bowl of water for your pup. Overall this is such a fun, retro, and unique spot. The prices are great, especially during Golden Hour, and the portions are very shareable. The three of us easily split two favorites and an appetizer. Definitely worth checking out!

  Atmosphere and service is great food was disappointing. We went about a 2 years ago and the food was great. A year ago and it was good and then a few months ago and it was not good. This last time we went my fish was over cooked and overall not good dish.

  Finally decided to write a review for one of my favorite restaurants in San Diego! I’ve been coming here at least twice a month ever since I moved to SD, and honestly, it’s one of those places I can always count on for a great experience. The food is amazing every single time, and the taste is always consistent. The drinks are REALLY GOOD too! The service is another reason I keep coming back, professional, friendly, and attentive. The servers and managers frequently check in to make sure everything is going well and that everything is to your liking. The restaurant is located inside a cute boutique hotel in Point Loma, which gives it such a cozy and charming atmosphere. It’s perfect for date night, dinner with friends, or just a nice night out. And the fact that parking is easy to find is definitely a bonus in San Diego! Definitely one of my favorite spots in the area.

  Really loved sitting at the bar and enjoying a delicious meal at The Ponyboy!!! Absolutely love the decor!! So much to look at and reminisce on past memories. Felt like an old Hollywood experience! Delicious food and kind staff!! I will definitely be back!!!
