  Pizza Hut was good in the past. It is just too bad that times have changed. The mail delivered me an unexpected check from a class action. The $12 that arrived paid for my Pizza Hut experience. I checked Domino's, Papa John's and Round Table Pizza for local deals. Pizza Hut had the best deal: 1 large pizza with 3 toppings for $10.99 (with tax, $11.84). I ordered the pizza with extra sauce, pepperoni, Italian sausage, and mushrooms. I added please cook well-done in the notes box. The website where I placed and paid for the order advised 17 minutes for the pizza to be ready. This location is about 2 miles from home. I drove there, parked, and went into the store lobby to wait. On my arrival, there was 1 customer waiting. I checked in with the counter person and was advised my pizza would be ready shortly. A few minutes passed, and the counter person brought out a pizza they thought was for the waiting customer. Rep asked her to open the box and verify the order. She opened the box and advised she did not order mushrooms. Counter rep asked her name, checked the receipt, and told the customer her order included mushrooms. Customer held up her phone for the rep, which clearly showed pepperoni, onion and jalapeno, no mushrooms. Rep looked at the receipt and the box, then advised he had Sara's pizza, not Sam's, the waiting customer's name. He checked the warming box and found Sam's pizza. While this happened, 5 other customers walked in. Rep got their names and went to retrieve 4 pizzas. He handed the 4 pizzas to waiting customers, then got Sara's pizza from the warming box and handed it the other waiting customer. After this, he asked my name again, and pulled my pizza from the warming box. He asked me to check the pizza and verify the toppings. I did, all looked good, so I carried the pizza home. At home, my husband and I both picked up a slice. The first bite delivered a portion of each topping, and those tasted as they should. The sauce, however, was sweet. It seemed like sugar was sprinkled on the pizza before cheese and toppings were added. We both tasted the sweet, and each bite provided the same taste. We talked about returning the pizza, but decided we would not. I sent a message through the Pizza Hut website, then uninstalled the app I had on my phone. It is sad that the sauce changed. Time to go back to making my own pizza. Sure, it takes longer, but the end result turns out better.
