Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon and was happy to find the NHL playoffs on the TV with sound! Sat at the bar and the bartender (I forgot his name and it's not on on the receipt) was very friendly and a pleasure to chat with!
I ordered the pork belly burnt ends as a starter. Got 4 nice big chunks on a plate of their street corn. I personally didn't like the flavor pairing with the corn but separately they were great! The ends melt in your mouth as they should and were well seasoned. But I did send a picture to my family in the Midwest (pic taken after eating half) and they thought this was the most California thing they'd ever seen. I wish they still had the burnt end mac n cheese like I'd read about in some of the reviews.
At the bartenders recommend I also ordered the meatloaf melt. Slices of brisket meatloaf with toasted Texas toast, American cheese, pickles, and pickled onions. This was delicious especially when dipped in the BBQ sauce provided on the table. I got the onion rings as the side. They were clearly made in house and cooked to order but I thought the batter could have used more seasoning. Overall they were still good and not overly greasy.
I don't live nearby but would definitely stop by again when in the area!
