  I don’t often give fast food restaurants 5/5 stars, but this McDonalds at the Clairemont Square hold a special place in my heart. The evening staff are really nice people who are welcoming and thoughtful. Ashley is really cool in particular—always a smile and a friendly hello. Recently I ordered the Big Arch meal for the first time and I was surprised by how good it was. It’s definitely better than the Big Mac. The sauce is a bit tangier, it’s just beefier all around, and the crispy onions are a good textural touch that elevates the flavor profile. Fries are always on point—McDonalds is a gold standard in fast-food French fries. The Diet Dr. Pepper was crisp and had the right amount of ice. Beyond this specific meal and the general quality of customer service, this location is always super clean inside and out. Overall, it’s one of the better McDonalds in San Diego, and worth a shot if you’ve got a hankering for something quick.

  Staff are friendly and efficient. I don't love ordering at the kiosk bc I like to swap out the soda in my combo for a sugar-free iced coffee and it's not displayed on the kiosk. I always have to ask for help.

  I believe her name is Genevieve she is usually cashiering and is amazing! She is kind, smart and very professional. It's great to see such a young person be respectful and on point with special orders.
