  Absolutely loved everything about this place. The food was amazing, perfectly cooked medium steak, and absolutely loved the dessert me and my husband were served for our 5 year anniversary. The atmosphere is indeed very romantic, and the view is breathtaking. Another thing is the bathroom! So beautiful, loved the pink orchid bouquet, and got some great songs. We only waited about 2-3 minutes for a table, and about 15-20 minutes for our food. Definitely recommend the mashed potatoes with your steak, perfect amount for two people, very creamy, buttery, and flavorful. 10/10 first time experience. Will be coming back soon!

  We made a reservation at Island Prime and mentioned that we were celebrating our daughter starting university. The restaurant kindly gave us a beautiful window table with an amazing ocean view, and both the hostess and our server congratulated us. The service felt warm and thoughtful. My favorite dish was the seared scallops. They were very well cooked and delicious. The disappointing part was the $85 Bone-In Ribeye. We did ask for it to be sliced, but the steak itself still looked noticeably leaner and less marbled than the same dish in many other diners’ photos. It also wasn’t served on a hot plate, so it cooled down quite quickly. For the price, I expected better and more consistent quality. Overall, the service and the view were both lovely, and it’s a nice place for a special occasion. Our dinner started at 4:30, and afterwards we walked along the waterfront and happened to catch an incredible sunset, which was a beautiful ending to the evening.

  My fiancé and I celebrated our engagement here and we had a wonderful time. This is the perfect place for a date night. The food was incredible! We had the best scallops we’ve ever had. Overall the portions are very generous for a restaurant this nice. The ambience at night was very romantic and the staff did a great job making it extra special for us. Thank you to our server Richard and other wait staff for being so attentive and friendly.

  Disappointing experience with customer service. 9/13/26 -- I wanted to bring my family here while they were visiting from out of town, primarily for the scenic views. Before arriving, I checked the restaurant's website and reservation system, which showed multiple available time slots. At no point did the website indicate that reservations were required, so we decided to make our way to the restaurant. Upon arrival, the hostess informed us that reservations are typically required. I explained that I had just checked the website and saw several openings, and there was also no indication online that a reservation was mandatory. We were then reluctantly offered an 8:00 PM reservation and told it was the earliest available. Since we had 45 minutes to wait, I checked the reservation system again--only to find that multiple earlier reservations were still available online. It was difficult to understand why those options were not offered to us directly, particularly after we had specifically explained what we were seeing online. We ultimately decided not to dine here. What should have been a simple and pleasant experience for my visiting family instead became an unnecessary inconvenience due to inconsistent information and poor customer service. The views may be beautiful, but good scenery does not compensate for poor hospitality. Unfortunately, this experience was enough for us to decide that we will not be returning.

  On Labor Day, we decided to have dinner at Island Prime with my parents. As always, the view from the restaurant is beautiful and very pleasant, especially looking out over the water. Unfortunately, the food was a different story. We ordered two ribeyes, an Angus skirt steak, and Skuna Bay salmon. We asked for the steaks to be cooked medium rare, but when they arrived, they were too rare for our liking, so we had to send them back. Even after they were cooked again, I was not impressed with the flavor of the ribeyes. The Angus skirt steak was also too chewy, which was disappointing. We started with the Calamari Katsu and Ahi, Crab & Avocado Stack, and both appetizers were delicious. Unfortunately, the main entrées did not live up to the same standard. The view and atmosphere are definitely the highlights, but based on this experience, the steaks were not worth the price. One other thing to keep in mind: in addition to the tip, they charge a 5% service charge based on the total cost of the meal. Overall, great views and delicious appetizers, but a disappointing experience with the main courses. Next time, I think I’ll stick to ordering steaks at a steak restaurant.
