Been to the original location in Clairmont and also Mission Valley a couple of times. The food is quite good at both but the service this time in Mission Valley was awful. After serving our meals the staff would just stand around and talk. We waited 20 mins after completing our meals and then had to get up and ask for boxes for our leftovers and it was another 15 mins before she finally comes around for our check. For the price of the meal at lunchtime, we will not be returning to this location. Would not recommend going to this location.

I've been trying to get my nephew to try Cuban food dor a while. I'm half Cuban and I love the food. I've been here and to the Clairmont place a few times. I dont think I'll be back to this one. The food was overpriced and flavorless. The Ropa Vieja had no flavor. The Vaca Frita was overfried and the black beans were dry and didnt taste fresh. Maybe because I know Cuban food, I expected more. Price wise, it's overpriced for what you get. I didn't get the lechon because my nephew is not into pork and I wanted him to sample more items. Like i said before, Im Cuban and grew up on the food, so this is MY take only. Also, I think the other location is more authentic... for what its worth.

Worst portions and driest citrus chicken I had, it wasn’t edible. Tastes like stale and warmed up chicken. I always go to the Clairemont location and they serve two pieces of juicy citrus chicken, and the one time I order here the chicken tastes so old and dry and the beans are barely filled. Don’t forget they also charge a lot more than the other location, for worse quality and long wait times.

I hardly ever leave reviews, but I truely adore this place, the staff is so kind and welcoming and make all their customers feel right at home. The vibes are perfect. Also their coffee is to die for (get the banana bread Carmel latte you will not regret it). Michelle, Bri and Bella are the lovely baristas and I’ve never once had a bad coffee experience.

The atmosphere was one of the first things we noticed. It felt welcoming, relaxed, and was a great place for a date night. The food was flavorful, portions were good, and everything tasted fresh. We enjoyed trying dishes that were a little different from our usual restaurants, and there was plenty of variety on the menu. The service was friendly and attentive throughout our visit. We never felt rushed and the staff made sure we had everything we needed. What stood out most was the overall experience. Good food, good service, and a comfortable atmosphere made for an enjoyable night out with my wife. We would definitely come back and recommend it to anyone looking for a nice place to enjoy Cuban food in San Diego.
