  Reservations were for 730pm And did not get seated until 815pm And that was in the bar not the dining area then didn't our meals till 9pm

  I was given a gift card to come and try Flemings in La Jolla, an upscale steak and seafood restaurant next to the Hilton.  Very nice atmosphere with wood paneling and dimmed lights.  I ended up ordering their peppered filet mignon with sautéed mushrooms and hollandaise on the side. The filet was cooked perfectly and the mushrooms were mixed with whole garlic cloves and swimming in butter. Everything was delicious and the service was caring.  They even stopped to talk to me a few times even though they were busy.  Highly recommend for a nice date.
