  Went to Diamond Palace for Mother’s Day and it was extremely crowded, so I’m trying to give some benefit of the doubt since it was probably one of their busiest days of the year. Once we actually got the food, everything tasted good and I really don’t have complaints there. We had shrimp rolls, chicken feet, tripe, and shui mai, and all of it was solid. The bigger issue was just how packed and overwhelmed things felt. Some menu options seemed limited or ran out quickly, service was slow, and the lines were very long. The staff did seem like they were trying their best, but management probably should have been better prepared for the holiday rush.

  Today we had reserved 3 tables for a birthday luncheon. When I arrived I was shown 3 tables in an open area that was sure to be noisy and busy with traffic. I explained the situation to Annica and she was very responsive to relocate us to the back of the restaurant which was quieter & more private for our celebration. I appreciate the great customer service shown by Annica who listened and responded. We had a very enjoyable party with great food & service! Thank you to Annica & Michael for helping make the party a success!

  Diamond Palace in San Diego is an absolute gem. From the moment you walk in, the staff makes you feel genuinely welcomed—friendly, attentive, and happy to help whether you’re a dim sum regular or trying traditional Chinese dishes for the first time. The flavors are phenomenal across the board, and everything tastes fresh and thoughtfully prepared. One of the best parts is going before 2pm, when they have carts rolling around with a variety of dishes—you can see everything in real time and try whatever catches your eye, which makes the whole experience fun and approachable. If you’ve ever felt unsure about where to start with traditional Chinese food, this is the perfect place. Incredible food, great atmosphere, and a team that truly makes the experience memorable.

  Solid option for all day dim sum. Couldnt try a lot since there were only 2 of us and portions are huge! Fair prices and good flavors. We'll be back for more dishes
