  If you are looking for incredible BBQ in San Diego, look no further than Coaster Saloon. We came here on our last night before heading back home to Las Vegas, and it was easily one of the best barbecue experiences I’ve ever had. Everything we ordered was cooked to perfection—the flavors were spot on and the meat was incredibly tender. But what really made the night special was the staff. A massive shout-out to our waitress, April. She was hands-down one of the best servers in San Diego! Her friendly attitude toward our family and her kindness toward our little one made us feel so welcome. In a busy world, that kind of genuine hospitality goes a long way, and she made the whole experience effortless. We also had Chris helping out, and he was fantastic. He was so kind and comical—we were able to joke around with him all night, which added such a fun, relaxed vibe to our dinner. Between the world-class food and the wonderful team, we had a truly fantastic experience. We couldn’t have asked for a better final meal in town. Definitely recommend coming here! We'll be dreaming about this BBQ back in Vegas!

  We got our order to go, the service was great, friendly and quick. We got the tj burger, phenomenal, the regular burger, just as good, the pulled pork was very good as well. We also got fish and chips, absolutely one of the best I've had. The street corn is amazing and the Mac and cheese is great as well. Highly recommend going here anytime your in mission beach!! Thank you to coastal saloon!!

  Amazing barbecue! Plenty of dairy-free and gluten-free options. The fries are not cooked separately, unfortunately. We were told the potatoe salad and coleslaw are not dairy-free, which was too bad. The collard greens and baked beans were very good for sides. They have gluten-free buns to make their burgers work, too. We appreciated the service and all of the guidance with the menu. I can definitely highly recommend the place.

  We came to Coaster 2 years ago and it was incredible. Came back this past week and it was still the amazing food we remember! The meats are all tender and delicious, but that street corn is what we have been craving! Had to have this twice on our vacation!

  I’m an award winning Texas BBQ grill master! The fact that no one is talking about this hidden jewel in Mission beach San Diego Ca, is a crime! So I walk in this venue in search of a good beer and some appetizers, not expecting to be blown away by the absolute perfection, of the art of smoked meats, or the value of the craft beer selection! First off they had this beer “ Cali Creamin of Mother Earth's brewery on nitro tap, win number 1! Secondly they have a brisket that is perfectly smoked to moist perfection, it was a shame to put their delicious BBQ house made sauce on it! As a person who judges California harshly I am surprised that such amazing place exists and shocked to see that the line to get doesn’t wrap around the building! This place is definitely a hidden jewels recommend that you take advantage of it before word gets out! Victor M. Longoria Jr. Texas BBQ KING! I’m actually a little envious that they are so good! My side sides were also amazing as I chose the Mac and cheese with loaded baked potatoe! 👌
