Store Manager is a poor example of a Store Manager, He is a opinionated, short sighted man. I have a ESA Brindle Bull Terrier that he deemed not to be well trained because a Security Guard that man handled and assumed was his pet, strange,he? My dog excreted an a ounce of urine after the guard shook him up (rough housed). Then the Manager demanded I "cleaned it up" Wow...Never Shop There Again! What a Jerk!!! Ps. Get a Meat Manager that is Competent also, the hamburger, lean, smelled so bad. Twice now, and a 24.00 dollar California Roast. The cut smelled a little bad also and tasted funny. Ralph's is much better and comparable priced Market with a much better selection

One cashier, 6 armed security guards, store manager was at self checkout picking his nose.... This store on 14th Street San Diego is horrible. Homeless people Right outside the entrance begging for money and one lady asked me to buy her fentanyl.... Homeless guy even tried to take my wallet at checkout....

Don’t go to the grocery store unless you want to sit in line for a half hour. I would consistently go here for months since I lived right down the street. Every time I went there there’s only one lane open with about 20 people in it. There are plenty of other good grocery stores downtown where you don’t have to wait 30 minutes to check out.

Unreliable customers experience as the self checkout is not something you can count on to be open when it is supposed to be. No clear reason by the management as to why this happens but it’s happened too many times for a local to rely on. Ralph’s at first and G never has this problem so it has to be a corporate decision. Update: I decided to change the review from two stars to one star because of Albertsons’ corporate reply. It’s the same reply they’ve been giving to the many customers who complained about the self checkout being repeatedly closed during peak hours. They have known about this problem for years, but every time someone complains they pretend it is the first time they’ve heard of it and falsely promise to get right to it. They have no intention of fixing the self checkout problem. The cause of the problem is an intentional corporate decision and they just don’t care about the customers who complain, hence the repetitious excuses.

I, a senior citizen professional engineer, have been visiting Albertsons store on 14th street San Diego CA for quite some time. This afternoon I was quite shocked at the discourteous behavior of the checkout lady named Brianda. Among other items, I had to buy one can of tomato paste. At the aisle, the price tag for one brand read 2 for $3.00 and the other brand said 4 for $5.00. At the counter when I showed her one can of each brand and asked for the price of each, she gave me the prices within a few seconds but retorted that from the next time I should check the price at the aisle. When I explained that the price for one can was not given (which sometimes is not obtained by straight division), she went on saying that she had been working in the store for a long time and it is always by dividing evenly. I have never faced such rude behavior at this store before. Let me emphasize many a time the price of one item is more than half the price of two of those as given on the tag in the aisle. In any case, if a customer wants to clarify a confusion, is it not a part of the service to be given by the counter staff to help out on the matter? Hope the management ensures that this sort of rudeness does not recur with any of their customers.
