    The food is just ok, meal come hotter than should be but faster than usual. Staff was kind with us. The burrata was great but main are not that impressive, unfortunately. It is a good option but you can probably find better close. I think the price is high for the quality of meals.

    Melamie provided wonderful service and was so attentive throughout the entire experience. She made sure everything was taken care of, checked in often, and created such a welcoming atmosphere. Her professionalism, kindness, and attention to detail truly stood out. I would definitely recommend her and look forward to coming back!

    I hosted a private event at Doppio Zero in San Carlos for my daughter’s baptism and first birthday on April 19. The event was booked more than two months in advance for a large party, and unfortunately the experience was disappointing both in terms of service and billing. When booking, we were told the pricing would be a flat, all-inclusive rate. The contract reflected this, listing the 20% service charge, admin fee, and room fee all as $0.00, so we budgeted accordingly. However, the final bill included a 20% service charge of over $800, along with additional charges for soda, coffee, and tea that we did not understand would be billed separately. These charges significantly increased the total beyond what we agreed to. When we raised this, we were told that gratuity and beverages were not included, which was inconsistent with what had been represented to us at the time of booking and how the contract was presented. The service during the event was also disorganized. There was over an hour delay for appetizers, which were served family-style, and not everyone even received any. The agreed plan for drinks (ordering at the bar) was not followed, and servers instead took drink orders at the table. While some guests paid separately, others had drinks assigned to our bill, creating confusion. Staff also took drink orders directly from children, including mocktails, without confirming with a parent or host first. We were not aware of these charges during the event and only discovered them when the final bill was presented. The mocktails were priced similarly to alcoholic drinks, which further increased the unexpected charges. There were also significant delays with dessert service. Plates were distributed and then collected before cake was served, and the timing issues caused some guests — including those who had traveled from out of town — to begin leaving before we were even able to sing happy birthday. The prix fixe menu was $65 per person for an appetizer and main only (no beverages), and when compared to the regular menu, ordering individually would have been less expensive. Given the size of the party and the fact that this event was planned more than two months in advance, the level of disorganization was surprising. We met with management after the event, and while they said they would escalate the issue to ownership, we have not received a resolution. Based on our experience, I will not be returning and would not recommend this restaurant.

    I had a very frustrating experience today due to the unnecessary attitude of a staff member at the reception area. I placed a pickup order and asked if I could eat at one of the empty outdoor tables, which a staff member kindly allowed. However, when I asked for a side of chili oil, a man working in the reception area abruptly intervened to rudely inform me that they "don’t offer that service" for takeout orders. It was a bizarrely condescending and rigid response to a simple request for a condiment. Fortunately, another waiter kindly brought us water and the chili oil without any issue. While the second waiter was professional and helpful, the initial interaction at the front was completely uncalled for. Good food doesn't excuse that kind of attitude from the staff.

    Unpleasant experience at Doppio SC on 04/06, one of our go-to pizza places since it opened a few years ago. We went with a party of 8 to celebrate my sister’s engagement. Food was good, in line with what we’ve come to expect — burrata, croquettes, bufalina, ravioli, formaggio and the likes. Spent about $400+. Our server was friendly enough, though I wish she’d been a bit more attentive. I kept having to flag her down to order things, on a night when the restaurant was practically empty. Not the end of the world, but worth mentioning. The bigger issue was with a staff member named Roberto — not sure if he was the manager or just front-of-house, but either way. He was already frowning when we asked him for condiments. Then as we were leaving after dinner, we asked him to take a group photo for us — pretty simple request, especially since we were there celebrating an engagement. He clicked one photo before we were even ready and immediately handed the phone back. I asked again, he reluctantly took one more, and right away said “Good night guys.” We tried telling him we were a little disappointed, asked if he didn’t want us coming back — and his response was just “Good night, thanks for coming.” That was it. We found Roberto’s behavior really dismissive and honestly quite disrespectful. In all our years coming here, nothing like this has ever happened. To the owner — I genuinely love Doppio and have brought family and friends here for special occasions many times. But after this, I won’t be coming back to this location until things improve on the service front. Happy to share more details directly if you’d like to hear them.
