  Upon placing my order, I was asked how many sauces I would like. I asked for eight when I arrived home to eat my dinner. I was dumbfounded to find trash in my food. I was clearly upset. I waited for the next day to make a complaint. I called the store and asked to speak to a manager at Which point Karen let me know that she would give me a phone number to her manager and on second thought she decided she needed to call the manager to make sure it was OK to give me the number. I’m extremely upset about my interaction and won’t be giving this location any more of my business.

  3/22/26: Placed an order to DoorDash with El Pollo Loco, placed an order of Baja Double Shrimp Tostada (no beans) combo with a Large Coke, and Churros. I DONT RECOMMEND ORDERING THE FLAN ITS NOT LIKE THE PICTURE! Ordered @ 8:28 pm , Arrived @ 9:15pm (Marina) The Baja double shrimp tostada was very tasteful and flavorful and full of shrimp with the dressing. It was very good sour cream wasn’t dry and would order without the beans was a great choice. Definitely would order again. Churros were good and full of cinnamon flavor.

  I love El Pollo Loco. I eat at El Pollo Loco everywhere I go. I live in the Hayward area, and they get a LOT of my business. I highly recommend it. The chicken is grilled, not fried, and is not greasy. Put it together with the ingredients they use, such as Mexican style rice and beans and you've got a delicious, satisfying meal. Best part is it's more sensibly priced than KFC. The Salinas location did not disappoint. I'm visiting from my home area and loved the burrito I ate here today.

  El Pollo Loco is the most authentic Mexican restaurant of the fast food chains. It's on of the few that are relatively healthy.

  I went to order Chicken Avocado Quesadillas. I ordered 3, once I got my order wrong. I was advised they no longer sold them and got the wrong order. It was a misunderstanding of me not knowing and possible new employee. I came back and asked if they were still being sold. Other employee told me yes. I wanted to purchase 2 more of the correct quesadillas. - The employee that helped me didn’t want to charge me. I insisted but she said no. I left and when I got home, I saw she had given me not 2 but 3 quesadillas! Thank you! Now I feel like I robbed the place! Great service.
