The cashier looked directly at me when I walked in but did not greet me. I briefly stopped in her line. Then realized online orders were being picked up towards the L in the back. A couple steps away. While I’m standing in the correct line she follows the same customer toward her seating to give the lady her salsa cups that she forgot at the counter. Cashier sees me again. She goes back behind the counter and ignores me. Didn’t ask if I was there for a pick up order or needed any help. A man comes from behind the kitchen doesn’t greet me or acknowledge me. A 3rd worker comes around and ask if I’m there for a pick up order. I said yes for Gabriel. He picks my food up but before handling it to me he then asks for me to confirm my last name. Although there are no other plates sitting and waiting for pick up. As a Bi racial man I definitely felt it had to do with my race and aesthetic. I’ve come to this place several times and I have never been asked to confirm my last name. All cashiers have acknowledged me whether I was placing an order or picking up. The female cashier did not acknowledge me once. The day I come in here under dressed need a hair cut under depression and grieving I’m treated very differently. My favorite spot. Entire experience different. As someone pursuing psychology it truly amazes me how humans can treat people so different based off how their dressed or may look. Certain establishments truly do not deserve support or business. Stick your nose up at a paying customer. Ridiculous. No greeting. The cashier had no other customers didn’t help me or acknowledge me. Then I’m asked to confirm my last name. After I confirmed my first name the person proceeded to pass my food then stopped and asked for my last name. Such a weird distasteful disrespectful experience.
