  John works the cash register. It's a busy line, lots of shoppers. His shopper is having trouble with payment options that required her to slide multiple payments cards and make hard decisions about what to keep and what she could return to the shelf. John pulled out a sale paper and matched coupons, he double checked prices and worked like this lady was his grandmother, trying to get the total to clear the restraint of her payment options. After what proved to be a longer than normal wait in line, I was privileged to thank him for being an awesome human as he worked with such patient kindness for a dear lady struggling to feed her family. Safeway is a better place with John on staff. Thanks to his management, training and likely, great parents!

  I absolutely love shopping here! The selection is fantastic, and the staff is always friendly and helpful. Plus, their fresh produce section never disappoints—everything looks so vibrant and inviting!

  It's been about 8 years since I've been to a safeway. I usually go to Ralph's or Vons. I believe Vons is the sister store of Safeway. :) however they have a vastly different items. I was disappointed that I couldn't find the deli meat that I was looking for..... The deli section is very minimal, didn't have very much to choose from.... I waited for like 10 minutes to have a worker help me fifll my order. Lastlly I got JoJo's, an general tso's chicken but they had no stir fry rice or stir fry noodles. The chicken was the ONLY Chinese food that they really had.... Unfortunately.

  I am extremely disappointed with the service at the self-checkout area. An employee named Marcus behaves unprofessionally: he speaks rudely, clearly shows dissatisfaction, and makes customers feel like they are a nuisance. After any interaction with him, there is an unpleasant and discouraging feeling. The situation is made worse by constant technical issues — the internet connection is poor, and payments frequently fail on the first attempt. Instead of receiving prompt assistance, customers are forced to wait for a long time, as this employee consistently has the longest lines. This kind of behavior is completely unacceptable for customer service. I ask management to pay attention to the quality of service and take appropriate action. At this point, interactions with this employee leave a very negative impression and significantly damage the overall shopping experience.
