I strongly recommend avoiding this Safeway location and shopping at the Howe Avenue location instead, which is only about a mile away. In my personal experience, this store has created an unpleasant, unprofessional, and at times alarming shopping environment. I have only shopped here when I did not have enough gas or was otherwise unable to travel to the Howe Avenue location. My greatest concern is for genuinely respectful and innocent customers who may come here expecting a normal shopping experience but instead feel intimidated, unfairly suspected, or uncomfortable. In my observations, security personnel can appear excessively suspicious and confrontational toward people who do not seem to be causing any problems. This creates concern that innocent customers could be wrongly accused of theft or treated as though they have done something wrong. One incident that particularly disturbed me involved a woman who was accused of stealing. She emptied her purse and shook out her clothing in an effort to prove that she had taken nothing. After it became clear that there was no stolen merchandise, she was simply told to leave. The woman appeared frightened and was crying, and I personally felt that there was little concern shown for the embarrassment and distress caused by the situation. I ended up helping her carry her bags to her vehicle. I have also personally witnessed what I believe to be unfair and inhumane treatment of multiple customers by security. In my opinion, the level of suspicion displayed toward innocent people can be excessive and alarming. I worry that kind, peaceful citizens could feel unsafe, intimidated, or wrongly accused while simply trying to shop. Unfortunately, I have also felt that management has not taken customer concerns seriously. In my experience, attempting to raise concerns has felt dismissive, and I have left feeling as though the customer was treated as the problem rather than the complaint being genuinely investigated. For these reasons, I personally recommend the Howe Avenue location instead. I believe people who shop at this location should be prepared to advocate for themselves and remain calm and confident if they are treated unfairly. No customer—regardless of their personality or character—should feel that they need to be particularly tough simply to shop for groceries without fear of intimidation or false accusations. I sincerely hope corporate management takes customer concerns seriously and investigates the conduct, customer service, and security practices at this location. Every customer deserves to feel safe, respected, and presumed innocent while shopping.

Hi, yes, the driver can go. You will stand here while the customers just look at you don't say anything, while there's three of them back there and just let you stand there for fifteen minutes until you literally have to be rude to get someone's attention. It feels amazing..

The bouncer type of security on Friday evening followed and basically stalked my 63 year old mother trying to scare her with the way he was looking at her she told me he frightened her with the way his behavior was with her I’m guessing he thought she was a thief idk but she ended up leaving her basket of items and leaving without any purchases because of the anxiety and unsettling feeling he caused her to have, will only be taking my mother to Safeway in a better area this one is out of the books for us

I order Safeway delivery and this store has continuously sent me expired food and damanged and spoiled produce. It's now to the point where I will no longer order delivery from Safeway and will use other grocery stores instead. On top of this, Safeway uses third party (doordash) drivers. The drivers do not follow directions and delivery instructions and the majority of the time I have to go out into the parking lot or street to find them. They also do not have delivery carts (I have my own) which would make moving multiple bags difficult.

The delivery people are not following the instructions that the customers are giving and on not answering their phones when customers are trying to direct them to the correct delivery spot. it is inconvient when customers have to reorder their misplaced delivery or have to go looking for it. Phones need to need to be answered and instructions need to be followed. When a customer asks to be called they want to be called not texted. Many deliveries have gone astray because of these problems. please fix them.
