Used to really enjoy Ray's Chicken and Fish, but the food quality has gone downhill. My recent catering order (almost $300) was very disappointing — the jambalaya was overly tomatoey and lacked seasoning, the greens were bland, and the chicken did not taste good. Several of my guests even commented on how bad the food was, which was embarrassing. Very disappointing, especially as a longtime customer. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because the catfish nuggets were tastey.

The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming from the moment you walk in until the moment you leave. The workers were always helping and getting everything that was needed. The food was a large quantity and every piece of it was amazing.
Will definitely be coming back and recommending this location to anyone in the area.

Me and my boyfriend met Frank at the Kaiser across the street. He convinced us to come in and suggested lots of food he thought we would enjoy. he made us feel very special and welcomed . The food was great. I got the chicken and waffles and it was amazing. The Customer Service is the best and we will definitely spread the word.

This is my first time having a meal at Ray's. Everything was absolutely delicious. Frank made sure that we were completely satisfied with our meal.
I ordered the catfish nuggets. I really wasn't a big fan, so Frank was really kind enough to make me the fillet. Oh my goodness, what a big difference! The catfish fillet is seasoned and fried perfectly!!! My family and I are looking forward to our next visit.
The jumbo shrimp, scallops, and zucchini is very good too.

Today we had the pleasure of eating at Ray’s Chicken and Fish. We had catfish and jumbo shrimp combo plate, red snapper and jumbo shrimp combo plate, collard greens, and red beans & rice. While the food was absolutely excellent, what truly stood out to us was the hospitality. From the moment we walked in until the moment we left, the tall well dressed Hispanic gentleman who I believe may be one of the owners or boss made us feel genuinely welcomed and appreciated. He didn’t just check on our table, he made every customer in the restaurant feel important and cared for. You could tell he takes pride not only in the food, but in the overall experience of every guest. That level of service is extremely rare nowadays. Honestly, we have only experienced this kind of hospitality once before, and that was at a Michelin star restaurant in New York never at a small local restaurant like this. It was refreshing and impressive to see that kind of attention, professionalism and warmth here. Great food is one thing, but making people feel special is what truly separates a business from the rest. Ray’s Chicken and Fish definitely left a lasting impression on us, and we will absolutely be coming back. Thank you boss man
