Make sure to talk to Keeru! He is the best. Truly cares about customers and making sure they have the best experience! The food is amazing, we get it regularly — the veggie combo is a must even for meat eaters!

The food here is excellent. I'm so glad that we have an Ethiopian restaurant in town. Everything is flavorful, the price is reasonable (it's a lot of work!), and the portions are big. I come mostly for the vegetarian platter, but also get different meat dishes from time to time. The tej (honey wine) is a favorite as well. This is a must-try at least once, as it's an experience, not just food.

The vegetarian sampler was good / flavorful. Attempted to order lamb, but was out. Lol. Not aware of any lamb shortages. (2) person total waitering staff could not keep up with busy restaraunt. Female waiter doesnt give eye contact and can hear her complaining about them being busy. Doesn't serve mango drink till over half way into my meal. Mango drink is not sweet and just plain mango and water blended. Takes forever to give me my check and had to go to the register. They have third person at bar that is not trained to take payments. Wait. Wait. And wait (do they want their money) lol.

I love Ethiopian food so I'm sad to have a negative experience here. I first want to say something I did enjoy about my neal before I detail a few problems. The biggest advantage of this place over other Ethiopian places I’ve been to is the quantity. Each person was able to get a large single serve portion and they have Tons of injera. Note: this is rare compared the other places that give few and charge extra for more; we had 6 rolls left to take home. However I did have problems here. First the service and (physical) atmosphere was awful. I went in the peak of summer and there was a single small plug in fan. After our meal, the outside was cooler! Please install AC or actual fans. We were all sweating. The handle on the bathroom was HOT to the touch since the window was pulling in hot air. The servers also never visited the tables and we had to ask for the water, for boxes, And for the check. Especially when it’s that hot, water refills (or leaving jugs on the table) should be a must. The heat over m-fermented the injeera too. It was way too sour. The primary flavor was pure citric acid, instead of the nice nutty and sourdough flavor. I usually can eat my injeera plain at other Ethiopian restaurants. I could not here; it was actively unpleasant. I thought the food was okay. The salad was okay but had way too much salt and vinegar. The lentil dishes were similar, both a little basic and bland. The collard greens were very good however. I'm sure I would a better experience on a cooler day or at a buffet here. Regardless, there are very easy steps to fix the problems I had: get AC, control the temp when fermenting injeera, have more waiters or better service.

Every time I leave I’m so full and so satisfied! Portions are great! Ladies are so nice and friendly! I usually have leftovers haha ALSO vegan/vegetarian options are what draws me to Queen Sheba! I am grateful there is an Ethiopian restaurant in little Sacramento 😆
