  I ordered the combo plate of rice, black eyed peas, and fried plantains with an 805 beer. The menu said $16.99 was the price for this combo plate. When it was time to settle up, they asked me for $34 without tip. No idea how that added up to that much. With tip, I paid $42. Way too much for a small meal and one beer.

  The food was not so good when I tried this place… I ordered the meatless egusi soup, as I am trying to not eat meat, which had meat in it still (pieces of fish). The egusi was also grainy and dry, not as I anticipated. The pepper soup was absolutely overly oily like it was nothing else in it and disgusting, horrible flavor. It did not taste well, I didn’t even waste my time eating it. The fufu’s were over cooked, with hard dry spots when I opened the plastic wrap. I ordered the jollof rice, which they had burned at the bottom and put the burned part of it up top of my rice in the bowl shape they form it in, when putting it in a to go box. I ordered this for take and I wish I stuck to my usual spot I go to. This was the worst african food I ever had. Never again.

  The okro soup I was served was bad, not fresh. Looks like old soup and their stew doesn't taste good either.

  Never having African food before. I was blown away with the flavor and how tender the goat was. I decided to go all in and traditional with no silverware. It was the right choice. Experience something all the way that it was designed and done for ever.
