Why do you come to Morton's? The steak. I was at Izzy's in San Francisco and I had the blackened New York a few weeks back and it was one of the best steaks I've ever had. I thought I would come to Morton's and see if they had something comparable. I order the cajun ribeye medium rare and it came out medium well. The first bite had great flavor and it was a nice looking steak but when the bartender asked how it was and I showed him he agreed that it was overcooked and sent it back to bring out a new one. This surprised me as I'm at Morton's STEAK house, how do you overcook a steak. Ok, I get it, it happens. The bartender brought out a new cajun ribeye. It was raw and cold in the middle, it tasted noticeably different and had a bad flavor. After a few bites I couldn't stomach to eat it so I left it and just ate teh truffle fries which were good. When I went to check out the bartender took the steak off my tab, I tipped him $50 as he was a great bartender and I left. I returned yesterday with a friend prior to the A's game to give the steak another try. We order the steak "medium rare +" and it came out well done. Again the first bites were great with lots of flavor but the steak was overcooked and the plate it came on was cold, not even slightly warm. The staff took it back and swopped it for another steak. Same thing, they brought out a rare cajun ribeye. The thing with both steaks is that the 2nd steak they brought out seemed to be very low quality and not even in the prime grade. It felt like Outback Steakhouse quality of Cattleman's. I don't want the management to read this and think I want a free meal, I don't. The staff is great and friendly and I tipped $50 the first time and $25 the 2nd time. I just think "you're Morton's Steak House", do better. I was expecting a prime cut of great ribeye and I felt like what I received was the corporate cost cutting measure steak that is better for the bottom line. I don't need a response to this review, just get in the kitchen make the necessary adjustments.

We celebrated our anniversary at Morton’s. Providing a photo of us to commemorate was a very nice touch.
I had the lobster and filet. My husband had a steak. Both were delicious! Edgar was our waiter and he provided excellent service. He was very attentive.
It is an expensive restaurant but well worth it.

The steakhouse demonstrates a clear understanding of fundamentals: temperature control, ingredient quality, and service timing. While the presentation is not overly elaborate, it reflects discipline and restraint. The staff remains attentive without unnecessary intrusion. Most importantly, the kitchen shows consistency, which is often where similar establishments fail.

I surprised my girlfriend with a reservation at this restaurant for her birthday, hoping for a special, romantic evening. What unfolded was one of the most disappointing and uncomfortable dining experiences we've ever had.
From the moment we arrived, things felt off. The gentleman at the door immediately asked whose birthday it was. When my girlfriend excitedly told him it was hers, his entire energy shifted. He looked skeptical and made it blatantly obvious that he didn't believe us like we were trying to scam a free dessert or something. It was awkward and rude right from the start.
We were seated, but then we waited over 30 minutes just to even place our order. Our waiter Kevin was nowhere to be found. We had to keep flagging him down for basic things like menus, water refills, or condiment's . Ironically, the water server was far more attentive and helpful than our actual assigned waiter. The whole service felt neglectful and unprofessional.
To make matters worse, I was wearing my Meta AI glasses and documented the entire painful experience every long wait, every ignored request so we could review it properly later. I'll be posting a full food and service review on TikTok soon. I'll let others decide for themselves just how bad it was.
As we were finally leaving, the same doorman smirked and said, "Hey, happy birthday, eh," in the most sarcastic, insincere way possible. It felt like he had intentionally gone out of his way to ruin our night.
Overall, I would never recommend this place. The service was shockingly poor, the staff seemed hostile, and what should have been a celebratory surprise turned into a memorable disaster for all the wrong reasons. Save your time and money go somewhere that actually values its guests.
