I visit was relatively fast. I arrived there around 12:35pm. There were a few people in line before me, but nothing too crazy. I ordered my dish, a protein bowl. The friendly order taker and food makers moved quickly to keep the line moving. Honestly, it was impressive. However, the visit took a dark turn once my colleague and I reached the the cashier. The cashier's behavior was absolutely appalling. I had simply asked for a side of hot salsa. In my many years as a Chipotle patron, it has always been common the ask for a side once reaching the cashier. If they're able to get it themselves they always have without any problem, or they'll ask one of their coworkers to do it for them. It was really not a big request. However, instead of making either attempt, the cashier, whose name I didn't happen to get because I blindsided by his absolutely disgusting customer service, decided to stop and berate me for not ordering the side while we quickly moved through the food line. Yelling at me, in the most unprofessional, condescending, and degrading tone, "Ok, NEXT TIME, make sure you order your side while you're in the line because I don't have time to get it!!! I'm all alone up here!!!" Stunned, I remained silent. A food preparer eventually got the side I requested. He continued to aggressively put my food in the bag while not making any eye contact. I asked him for a large bag of regular chips, which he aggressively took both flavors from the shelf and tossed them on the counter. Noticing, I stated, "I just want the regular ones." Again, in an aggressive tone, he held up the chili lime flavored chips and said, "You just want these ones??!!" I said no, the regular ones. He rolled his eyes and tossed the chili lime flavor back on the shelf. Because he wasn't confirming anything as he rang up the order, I reminded him that I also wanted a large fountain drink (which I had requested earlier in the interaction). To which he replied, "I HEARD YOU!!" Our interaction finished up soon after that, and my colleague and I left the location as quickly as possible, feeling dismayed and disrespected. Although I didnt get his name, I'm sure this wasn't his first time treating customers like this and management is probably already aware of his behavior. He was a not-too-tall, younger guy, with black hair, and seemed to be the only one wearing a company hat. My order, a burrito bowl, with a bag of chips, and a large drink, was taken on Thursday, 10/8, between 12:30-12:45. That should be enough info to help you identify who your employee is. He clearly should bot be working in food or customer service if he can't handle the lunch rush. Customer's should never have to pay the price for employees' frustrations. Despite his mistreatment, I never once raised my voice, returned his negative energy, or disrespected him. I believe the location would do better without his presence.
