  OMG!! Hats off to the Chef!! They know how to pull on the heart strings of a Big Back Baddie!! I went to pick up a catering order just before they opened and the DELICIOUS aroma felt like a slap in the ass and tickled in my belly!! After my delivery, I came back to grab myself a lil somethin, ordering my meal solely with my nose and eyes 🤣🤣. I definitely overspent on myself, but it was worth every penny!! Definitely will return!! And the place gets busy quick so be sure to get your spot early!!

  Very nice find. Excellent barbecue, slow, smoked lots of flavor and a sweet hot barbecue sauce. My order came out with one small rib next to a large one. The other person in my party got two full Sized ribs. I did not complain.I just showed the plate to the guy who was taking the orders, and he went into the kitchen and brought me back a plate with three more ribs. Needless to say, I am a big fan of this restaurant.The food is awesome.It's got a great atmosphere. They're very friendly and if there is a mistake.And you mention it, they will make it right.Immediately and exceed your expectations. If you're looking for really good barbecue, this is your spot.Glad to have found them. Reminds me of the old Everett and Jones that used to be in Berkeley.

  As a girl from the South, I'm pretty particular of barbecue and since moving to California, I haven't come across many places that can do barbecue and home style food like where I grew up- but Bear West Barbecue does. Hands down the best barbecue in Sacramento. It has that kind of family atmosphere I'm always looking from a "soul food" restaurant, and is the spot I recommend to everyone craving some cornbread, ribs, and a comforting meal.

  We placed an order for pickup since this place is highly rated, and I have no idea why. This place is awful. It started out with very rude attitude towards us. Then, when we got home, the liquid from the green beans spilled all over. The green beans were drenched in water and over garlic and peppered. The Mac and cheese was bland and stale and even too soggy. Like it was just left under a lamp all day. The tri tip was over cooked, ribs bland and dry, it was just awful. I wouldn't even feed my dog this crap. I am better off buying a whole tri tip for $30 compared to $89 for 3 small plates. Gross. Never going here again.

  This is my second time getting BBQ and desserts from here. It was delicious and even taste better than I remembered. I had the BBQ ribs and pulled pork with greens and mac n cheese. The cornbread was yummy as was the banana pudding and peach cobbler. The customer service was great. I ordered online and I got a text confirming and letting me know what time for pickup. Employees were welcoming and showed me what I ordered prior to bagging it up to go. I'll be back. I wish the shrimp and grits didn't have meat in it; I could have gotten that for my husband who is a pescatarian. Fried Snapper on the menu would be a nice add on.
