Atmosphere is absolutely amazing and stunning! Our server Myles was exceptional!! We had a party of 18 (all from different states) & was a really good time. Starters were amazing but entrees were a little (a lot) salty to the point that it was not enjoyable. I would suggest that chefs add less salt and put salt on the tables for ppl to use (Salt is not a seasoning, it’s a flavor enhancer). Overall a delightful to come here.

This is my honest review of this establishment. I’ve been trying to get to this restaurant for years now, it was my mom 83rd birthday. We had a party of 13 people who drove over 70 miles to get here. They put us in a private party room which was cool but it was 102 degrees outside and the room had no A/C . So can you imagine trying to eat comfortably . Now the food, I don’t know if it was an off day for the cooks . The food was very salty , the texture was off on the majority of our dishes. When the host came out to ask how was the food we told him the truth about it. Also when eating at an establishment like this I understand about à la cart but at least you can give us 2 side with our main southern dishes . Plus the menu is false some the dishes didn’t come with what was advertised. But they did let us split the check 4 ways . If you’re in the Roseville area try this restaurant you might have a better experience

Hands down best food in Sacramento. I’m from the DC area and my husband is from ATL, but has been here for a couple years for work. We’ve eaten at so many places up and down the entire west coast and this has truly stood out as a legit flavorful with elevated spins on classics. Each dish was top tier quality, from the lobster tail to the curry sauce accompanying the fries. The atmosphere is amazing with live jazz, giving a classy spin on all the Black hits. Service was absolutely amazing & quick! Shout out to the brother “Q” who has hooked his place up and truly imparted a great vision. Amazing work! Only sad to be finding out about this place only weeks before moving back to the east coast. Hoping to try the oxtail (was sold out) before we leave! For reference, our meal included: porkchop entree, lobster tail, shrimp & grits entree, brussel sprouts, fried chicken entree, truffle fries, raspberry tea, and a cocktail (which was excellently well made).

The food at Q1227 was excellent, and the bartender provided great service. The staff was friendly, and overall the dining experience was good. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because the air conditioning either wasn’t working or wasn’t turned on. It was extremely hot inside the restaurant during our visit. Unfortunately, the heat made it difficult to fully enjoy our meal, and we ended up leaving sooner than we would have liked. If the AC had been working properly, this easily would have been a 5-star experience. The food and service were great, but a comfortable dining environment is important, especially when you’re trying to enjoy a meal. I hope the issue gets resolved because I would love to come back and stay longer next time

Man, it REALLY pains me to leave a less-than-stellar review for Q1227, because we had really cherished all our visits to their previous location on Eureka -- all of those were easily 5-star visits. We have always loved their concept and execution of the menu. But as much as I hate to say it, something seems to have been lost in the transition since the move to the Galleria. We have made 3 visits to this location over the past year or so, and each of them was lackluster in some way. Wait times (for food, after being seated) seem to be the common denominator. But our most recent visit (the Saturday before Mother's Day, a brunch that they specifically advertised for) was the worst. In a half-full restaurant (if that), our server advised us that it might be about 20-30 minutes before we received our food. We were OK with that. But that became 45 minutes. And then that became 50 minutes. It was finally about 70 minutes after ordering that we *began* to receive our food. I say "began" because my wife and daughter received theirs first. No problem, I can wait a few minutes for mine to arrive. But it became apparent (and confirmed by the server) that the kitchen FORGOT to cook my order. So, another 20-minute wait. My order -- an eggs benedict -- finally arrived. Mind you, everyone has their own favorite way of preparing eggs. Some prefer over-easy, some prefer sunny side up, some prefer scrambled. All to varying levels of doneness. But the yolk on a poached egg of a benedict should ALWAYS -- no room for argument -- **ALWAYS** be slightly runny. What did I get? An overcooked egg with a bone-dry, crumbly yolk. To his credit, our server was profusely apologetic throughout the entire ordeal. I never got angry with him, and offered up my criticism of the egg as feedback for the kitchen. He did me the "favor" of not adding on their automatic 18% gratuity (WHY?! There were only 3 in our party! I hate when they do that!). I gave them a standard 15% anyway, despite the bad experience. While their new location is certainly nice, I find it a bit too impersonal and loud, and I preferred their intimate original location that we used to take all our friends to. When I first heard of their move, I was worried that this might be a case of growing too soon. And it seems my fears might have been justified. I really hate to leave a review like this, but I hope they take this as constructive feedback. It will be difficult for me to want to return to Q1227.
