It was a really cool experience I love the Wait staff, they were very kind. I loved the food with the laid back atmosphere, and the pizza was amazing!!!!!

I write this as a person who originally is from Chicago - the deep dish is very close to what you can get back in Chicago. Not exactly on Chicago’s level, but for Southern California it was super impressive.
However - the service was truly awful. I don’t think I’ve had service this bad at a restaurant in a while. In Chicago u can just call ahead to have them prepare the pizza and have it ready when you sit down. I called and talked to some worker named Daniel who agreed to do so.
Then I actually got to the restaurant. Daniel told us our food would be ready in 5 minutes - it took over half an hour to get our actual food. He also made me pay at the very beginning (even before we got our food?) and I gave a tip which I now regret.
We asked Daniel for water. We didn’t get water until maybe 30 minutes later when our food came. He didn’t actually acknowledge us for the rest of our time in the restaurant and I don’t think we were ever assigned an actual waiter. They tried to then give us our food in a to-go box while we were all sitting down. We had to ask them to put it on plates which took a while. The whole experience was unpleasant, nobody took accountability, nobody apologized and it made me feel very uncomfortable.
I would so love to come back just for the food and the ambiance (I loved all the Chicago decor ) but oh my god. Service was just abysmal.

The pizza was great! The salad was a lot of greens I don't care for. I prefer romaine and iceberg to whatever the spring greens were.
