While some things have changed over the last few decades, El Pollo Loco's delivery of fresh, authentic food has not. Everything starts with whole chickens that are slowly marinated in a special recipe of herbs, spices, fruit juices and garlic. The chicken is then expertly fire-grilled to perfection the authentic way - on our signature open-flame grills - then hand cut into your favorite Mexican entrees. We put that same dedication and care into our handmade guacamole, salsas and dressings every day. At El Pollo Loco in Redlands,CA, we believe that when real food meets real fire the result is great taste that will keep you coming back again and again.
My favorite restaurant due to the protein in chicken. I never get tired of eating at this restaurant.

What a ripoff. Just ordered two Chipotle Chicken Guacamole burritos for delivery because it seemed like a good deal - buy one, get one free. But they might as well be called Rice, Bean, and Guac burritos because there was no chicken in them. I can see why this place is rated so poorly. Will never order anything from here again.

I usually don't write reviews unless I'm truly disappointed, and unfortunately, this was one of those times.
We live out of state, and there isn't a single El Pollo Loco where we live. We literally drive about 16 hours, so whenever we're in California, we look forward to eating here. I know the recipe has changed over the years, and that's okay because the food is still good when it's made right.
What we expect is fresh, quality food: crispy chicken, not soggy chicken; fresh salsa, not salsa that tastes spoiled; friendly customer service without the attitude; and a clean restaurant with clean tables, seats, and restrooms. It would also be nice if the drink station was stocked and refilled. When you're paying over $14 for a meal and drink, those are pretty reasonable expectations. And if something isn't available, just let customers know politely.
While I was eating, another customer actually came over and asked if my chicken was soggy too because his was. That alone told me it wasn't just my order.
I really expected more from this El Pollo Loco. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and makes some improvements. Customer service training would go a long way because kindness is free.

Ordered online for in store pick up... spent $33 with a coupon. No beans on my $13 double chicken tostada, very little rice, bowl clearly emptier than it should be at that price and they forgot the creamy cilantro dressing thats supposed to come with the tostada... don't discover until you get home from a long day at work... very disappointed
