Avoid the Taco Bell on Old Alturas in Redding unless you enjoy being publicly embarrassed by employees who apparently mistake cruelty for customer service. My partner and I were sitting quietly at a corner table eating the food we had ALREADY PAID FOR, silently scrolling on our phones and bothering absolutely nobody. Not a single issue. In fact, for a while, we were the only people in the restaurant. Then the second other customers walked in, one of the employees decided to shout across the entire restaurant that we needed to “order something or head out,” followed by the most fake, condescending apology imaginable. Again: we WERE eating. Food. From Taco Bell. That we BOUGHT THERE. So either the employees at this location are wildly incompetent and unable to identify their own food wrappers, or this was exactly what it looked like: targeted humiliation aimed at people they’d already decided they looked down on. The vibe at this place is less “customer service” and more “small-town superiority complex with a headset on.” If there had actually been an issue, any halfway decent employee could’ve approached us privately and respectfully. Instead, this guy chose to perform for the room the moment other patrons came in. Absolutely classless behavior. The food was mediocre, but the unnecessary public shaming was apparently complimentary.

I know it can get busy and hectic in the kitchen but a lot of their employees enjoy ignoring customers and dashers. There were literally 2 male workers standing in frontal view of the register making tacos at around 10pm. And they ignored me a total of 3 times despite looking my way and seeing me. I had to wait for a female employee working the drive thru to get help. Which took about 15 minutes of being ignored by the employee with the afro.

I hate how this place keeps asking to pay for the company's taxes write off donation. We the customer shouldn't be responsible for the company's donations. We the customer dont get a tax break if we do. The company should pay for any donations.

It's difficult to answer about the service when I used a kiosk to place the order.
