I've been shopping at this Albertsons for approximately two years, and I've consistently chosen this location even though I have other, less expensive options available to me. I could shop at the military base or at stores such as Stater Bros., where I may be able to save money, but I continue to spend approximately $400–$500 a month at Albertsons because of the convenience, the proximity to my home, and, most importantly, the kindness of the employees. I normally use curbside pickup because, as a combat veteran who struggles with PTSD, going inside busy stores can be extremely difficult for me. The curbside employees have always been wonderful. There are four particular baggers I see regularly who are consistently kind, respectful, and helpful. Their customer service is actually one of the reasons I have continued giving my business to this store. Today, however, I went inside the store with my son and spent a little over $100. I was paying with an EBT card, which had a decorative sticker on the outside of it. When the card reader would not read the card, the employee assisting me called a manager. The manager, who I believe was named Amber, came over and immediately made me feel uncomfortable and embarrassed. She was an older woman with blonde hair and a lot of jewelry, and her tone and demeanor came across as extremely snappy and condescending. Instead of simply trying to help resolve the problem, she repeatedly focused on the fact that I had a sticker on my card and told me that I had "defaced" it. She also told me that getting a replacement card was free, as though I had intentionally done something wrong. I explained that this was not the first EBT card we had used with a sticker on it and that I had never experienced a problem using it before. I also explained that other establishments had been able to manually enter the card number when the card reader wouldn't recognize the card. She told me that they were not supposed to do that. What upset me most was not necessarily that the card would not work. Machines malfunction, cards sometimes don't scan, and I understand that there are procedures employees have to follow. What upset me was the way I was treated while the problem was happening. There were other customers standing in line, and I felt like I was being talked down to and made to feel as though I had done something wrong. When I explained that I had used the card at other establishments without a problem, her response was essentially, "I don't know about that," in a dismissive tone. I've been a loyal customer for approximately two years. I've spent thousands of dollars at this Albertsons, despite having cheaper options available to me. I've continued to choose this store because I have always felt comfortable with the employees, especially the curbside team. Today was completely different. As someone who already has difficulty being in a store because of PTSD, being treated in such a dismissive and disrespectful manner made an already stressful situation much worse. I'm not asking for special treatment. I'm asking to be treated with basic courtesy and respect. If there is a policy regarding stickers on EBT cards or how a card can be manually entered, I'm perfectly willing to follow that policy. But there is a right way and a wrong way to communicate a policy to a customer. I'm extremely disappointed because one negative interaction can make a loyal customer question whether they want to continue spending their money at a business. I hope management takes this complaint seriously and addresses the way customers are spoken to, particularly when they are already frustrated or experiencing difficulty. I've had overwhelmingly positive experiences with the other employees at this location, which is why today's interaction was so disappointing. I would hate for one manager's poor customer service to undo two years of loyalty to this store.

Wasn’t too crowded after dark so a great time to go. Been coming to this location since the early 90s, hasn’t been updated since then but has held up pretty good considering that was nearly 4 decades ago. Didn’t find every item I wanted and the prices were slightly above average. A good thing is that it is conveniently located off the 210.
