  I love my black people but dawg this wasn't it at all. I'm from Texas I should have known better. Bbq sauce too tangy/too much vinegar. Potato salad too tangy. Beans taste like bush with extra seasoning. Brisket thin and needs seasoning.. not happy and it was $25. I got robbed lol

  We felt bad for the owner as it was just him. We were patient like 30 minutes waiting just was done but the food really lacked flavor. The ribs although perfect in consistency lacked flavor. The spices were there but need some salt, the mc and cheese was also not flavorful, the greens were good, the coleslaw slaw was watery, flavors didnt mesh and it was hot, the brisket was okay the better flavor than the ribs and the pulled pork just looked like they just had it in a crock pot with minimal flavor. We really wanted to like it, but maybe perhaps his family he has pics of on the counter should came out and helped him throughout the day. I could see taste potential but it just didnt delivered. Portions were very well for the price, but flavors were not up to par.

  I placed an online after reading the history of how your grandpa started smoking meats in his homemade smoker. Unfortunately, we are so disappointed on how you're continuing to honor your grandpa's legacy by this atrocious food that we picked today at your restaurant. Everything is just loaded with SALT! $111 worth of food just going to waste! We couldn't eat the rest! After 15 min it of eating your smoked meats and collard greens, we are now experiencing headaches, increased blood pressure from too much salt in the chicken, oxtail, collard greens, and brisket. The doctor from Teladoc has instructed for all of us to go to urgent care if our symptoms worsened.   Third time is a charm, I guess? My dad had tried to come here a couple times before, but had always found it closed. And then he and I had attempted to come, but all of the barbecue had been sold out. We finally got lucky on a Saturday and showed up shortly after they opened. We placed our order for three dinner combos with three meats each, each of which came with three side dishes, and two dinner rolls. For my three meat combo I decided to try the hot link, pulled pork, and the brisket, with a side of mac & cheese, potato salad, and baked beans. My husband ordered the brisket, tri-tip, and ribs with a side of mac & cheese, collard greens, and coleslaw. My dad ordered the brisket and two orders of ribs, with a side of potato salad, coleslaw, and collard greens. Just FYI - there is an additional charge if you order any of the following meats: ribs, tri-tip, or brisket. And also an additional charge if you order mac & cheese or candied yams. Once all of our food had been prepared and boxed up, we took it home to enjoy. For the price, you definitely get a good quantity of food and we had plenty of leftovers. I really enjoyed the pulled pork and the mac & cheese, while my husband and my father really enjoyed the ribs and collard greens. All in all, when the craving for barbecue strikes, this is definitely a spot worth checking out. Just make sure you show up when they are open and they haven’t sold out.

  I finally checked off a BBQ spot from my bucket list, and wow, I’m kicking myself for waiting so long! My brother-in-law Danny and sister Cindy are regulars here, ordering takeout at least once a week, and they’ve been insisting I try it. So, I decided to try it for lunch today. I ordered online and went for the brisket dinner with potato salad and coleslaw, plus a rib dinner with mac and cheese (straight fire) and potato salad. Both came dinner rolls that just hit the spot! When I showed up to pick up my order, there were a few people in line ahead of me, but I was in and out in under five minutes. The owner was the only one there which I believe he runs it solo, and that’s hustle & impressive because he was still quick and attentive to his customers, definitely a sign of a solid operation Now, let’s talk about the food! My family and Ioved everything!. The brisket was tender and packed with flavor, and the ribs? They practically fell off the bone. The sides were on point too, and you can tell the owner really knows his BBQ. Plus, seeing his family photos on the wall added such a nice, personal touch. If you’re craving some legit BBQ and killer sides, you’ve got to hit this place up. Seriously, you won’t regret it! I will be back for sure to try the other items.
