  If you're craving Jamaican food, you found the perfect spot. Everything is made in house so the quality is fresh. Time to table could improve but the food taste is worth the wait. Staff is very friendly and attentive and will ensure your time there is just as good as the food.

  A giant 'B' health inspection grade in the window at Hillside Jamaican Restaurant in Pomona should have been the first red flag. We waited well over an hour for simple menu items, with the constant excuse from the entire staff being that there was a 'party of 22 in front of us.' Let's be real—it wasn't even busy enough to justify this level of chaos. > The kitchen is chronically delayed, and the front of house is just as disorganized. The staff has absolutely no concept of table positioning. Instead of actually serving guests, you have three people wandering around outside, screaming out items and auctioning off plates because no one knows where anything goes. When orders finally do drop, there is zero coordination; we watched that party of 22 experience a gap of over an hour between their first guest receiving a plate and their last. As if that wasn't insulting enough, the staff actually started handing out checks before people had even received their food. > To top it all off, they don't have air conditioning. It feels like 190°F outside, and you are left sweating through your clothes watching a complete operational failure unfold. They desperately need an actual manager on the floor to figure out what the hell they are doing, because right now, this is absolute insanity. Save your sanity and your money
