  Domenico's has been a favorite deli of mine for many years and I'm SO thrilled that they've opened one in Pleasanton! Best sandwiches ever. Especially with their red pepper mayo!

  First time coming here. I'm always looking for a good sandwich place and there isn't a great deli/sandwich place in either Livermore or Pleasanton. So when my partner found this place we knew it had to be pretty new. We drove from Livermore to try it. It's a good location and luckily there's lots of parking. You walk in and it's nice and open and bright. Everything you could want for a picnic if you're picking up sandwiches. I love the variety of cold salads available. I tried one and loved that I got to try a bite to be sure I liked it. Happy it's by weight so you can buy as little as you need. The menu is easy to read with all kinds of options it's almost overwhelming, but you can also make your own sandwich. We ordered the French dip panini, turkey Italiana (with the pesto mayo and fresh mozz), a small scoop of pasta salad and a small scoop of fresh fruit. Everything was yummy, not too terribly priced and service was friendly. There was a hiccup when ordering but nothing major I just would have been upset if I took my order to go. I clarified about the printed menu and confirmed that everything on the sandwich was listed that there wasn't going to be any extra condiments or toppings (I know some deli's will not consider mustard or pickles or onions worth listing and considered normal parts of a sandwich). I was told everything on it was listed but that I could add to it if I wanted so I decided to add tomatoes. My cold sandwich came quickly, but it was covered in raw onions which I hate. Luckily they were very easy to pick off and didn't hinder the flavor of the sandwich so I just let it go but I'm not sure what happened. I don't know if somebody else made the sandwich I don't know if the guy got caught up and just made a simple mistake, or needs to learn the menu or what. It wasn't a huge deal, I know the place is relatively new which means the employees are still trying to get the menu down. My partner liked his French dip although I thought it was a little small to cost more than my cold sandwich, but I know it's a panini and can't be stuffed. Overall the ingredients were very fresh and tasted of good quality. The place was pretty clean, the restroom I used was clean. It was busy with customers in and out the entire 30 minutes we sat to eat. We definitely plan to share a cold sandwich next time, as they are quite large. We will definitely come back, give it another chance and try something new. Hope the quality stays good, there aren't any more issues with ordering and I really do hope this place sticks around! We need a good deli!

  Good sandwiches and service. Ask for Tai when you come in, he was very friendly and makes a great sandwich.

  I am so beyond thrilled that Demenico’s came to Downtown Pleasanton! As a long time fan of their Danville location, this is just what Pleasanton was missing. It is located at the south end of Main Street where parking is not that crazy, but the shopping complex where it is located does have a lot of fab local businesses. So you may need to park on Main St. The location is light & bright, the selection of specialty items is carefully curated and the food is made to order. The staff is working very hard as they learn the rhythms of a new food service business! I love the Tuna melt, the specialty sandwiches and salads!!!! Welcome to Pleasanton Domenico’s. We are happy you are here.

  Waited in line for 60 mins and after finally be able to place an order it took about 15 mins for 2 sandwiches. Was told 2 separate times that the bread selected was out. I’m not sure if they were hit with online orders but if that’s the case they need to throttle the orders or schedule them out so the guests inside don’t suffer. Other guests in line were making comments about how it’s a longer wait than DisneyLand. For sandwiches only, quick convenience is the lifeline. It also wouldn’t be an issue if staff was attentive at all. Almost 7 people working and none were smiling or showing any type of hospitality. A “sorry for the wait” or “we are a little backed up, thanks for your patience” would have gone a long way. There for sure needs to be some hospitality training done and an overhaul on how things funnel as I’ve seen other people leave reviews on long wait times as well. Unfortunately I will no be coming back.
