  Always have to wait for 3 hours to pick up order if you have short of staff hire some but if we have to wait 3 hours in store thats the managing problem

  ⚠️ HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE & GIG-WORKER DISCRIMINATION ⚠️ I am writing this review so corporate management can investigate the toxic behavior and power trips of two specific employees at this location. On July 19th around 3:25 PM, I came to pick up an Uber Eats order. What followed was a completely unprovoked display of hostility. A woman in glasses Lizzy working near the self-checkout rudely ordered me to stand opposite the registers and wait. After 15 minutes of silence, I politely asked how much longer it might take. Instead of checking, she started YELLING at me. When I addressed her by name and asked for a manager, she snapped that the manager was coming and immediately hidden her name badge. 7 min later her manager arrived - Angelina Johnson, whose badge reads 1st Assistant. Instead of de-escalating like a member of management should, she didn't even introduce herself and aggressively asked how long I’d been there. When I tried to explain, she cut me off, completely took Lizzy's side without hearing a word, and began gaslighting me. She claimed she "watched the cameras" and saw me asking multiple times (a complete lie - I asked once after waiting 15 minutes). She then threatened to call security on me and ban me from receiving orders, even though I remained completely calm and polite throughout the entire interaction. It is deeply concerning that a 1st Assistant Director exhibits such toxic behavior, lies to customers/drivers, and abuses her authority instead of resolving issues professionally. I canceled the order and left immediately to avoid further harassment. ❗️To Safeway Corporate: Please pull the security tapes from July 19th, between 3:20 PM and 3:50 PM. You will see a calm delivery driver being yelled at and threatened for asking a single, polite question. Both Lizzy and Angelina Johnson need serious retraining in basic customer service, conflict resolution, and human decency.

  We stopped by to grab sandwiches from the deli and ended up waiting about 20 minutes just to receive one 12-inch Italian sandwich. We waited the first 10 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us or let us know they would be with us shortly. There were three employees working, one was cutting meat while the other two were in the back. Eventually, one of them came over to help us. However, while making our sandwich, she had to stop multiple times to restock items that should have already been prepared and available at the deli station, which added another 10 minutes to our wait. I understand that things need to be done behind the scenes, but the lack of preparation and the long wait time was frustrating. We stayed because we really do enjoy the sandwiches and we weren’t in a rush, but if you’re looking for a quick deli option, I wouldn’t recommend coming here. The sandwiches are good, but the service was extremely slow.
