- SRStacey Raye6 days ago4.0Nice clean store. I detest the parking lot and usually go down to Cameron Park. But one thing I've discovered about that store is it's very dirty. Placerville is a much cleaner store. And I think the people employees are much nicer there. Got to love our little town ( that's not necessarily so small).

- LKLee KennedySep 2, 20261.0We normally love coming to this Safeway to get soups and sandwiches. Today, we came in between 5:30 and 6. There was a man working the deli counter. We waited for about 15 minutes before he even spoke to us. We watched customers come in after us and go to the hot food section. He helped multiple customers that came in after us before coming to help us. He asked us what bread we wanted, cut the bread for our sandwich, then before I could tell him anything I wanted on the sandwich, he said "give me a sec" and walked away. I waited and watched him then help and serve two other customers that had just come in on the hot food section. I waited another almost 10 minutes. My wife and I then decided to just leave since we had been waiting there for a total of over 20 minutes. We went to the sourdough melt instead. The same-size sanwhich was much cheaper there, and the staff helped us immediately when we came in the door. They were very polite and helpful. It was a very frustrating experience at Safeway. We will likely not be coming to the Safeway deli anymore, and will opt to go to sourdough melt instead now.

The checkout lines are consistently excessive, especially during the busiest hours of the day, yet additional registers rarely seem to be opened. It would make a significant difference if management were more proactive about staffing the registers during peak hours. I hope Safeway takes customer feedback seriously and works toward improving the overall shopping experience.
