Recently ate here for the second time. The first time was back in November. We had brunch and some of their happy hour drinks. All day happy hour yes please! On this visit, we came for dinner. First of all the place is super cute and colorful. They say there is always a party here and that is so true. The service is really good. As soon as you sit down they bring you water. The pace of the service is good. They will be prompt and bring you your food in a reasonable amount of time but if you want to hang out they will also respect that. On this most recent visit I got a dinner special for $27.99 which came with salad and a shrimp pasta dish. It was fresh, flavorful, and delicious. Way too much pasta so I couldn't finish sadly but that's okay. My wife loved the melt with truffle fries she ordered. We will be coming here on every trip to Palm Springs or if we are passing through. The location is also unbeatable!

Calamari came cold. Had to ask for ice coffee and utensils several times. Food came out slow enough that we were hangry. We’re pretty sure they forgot our order and then hauled ass when we asked to check in. Food is heavy- chicken pot pie was decent. Overall, pass.

I have been coordinating our nonprofit organization’s board meetings for almost a decade and every year we do one big group dinner. And when I say big, I mean 30+ people, all with their own preferences, dietary needs and occasionally very specific requests. Wrangling that many people for dinner is not for the faint of heart. 😂 I always try to make life as easy as possible on the restaurant by planning well in advance, pre-ordering appetizers and communicating our needs ahead of time. But we do have some quirks, including needing individual checks for alcohol, and I know accommodating a group our size on a busy Saturday night is a LOT. Lulu’s made it look effortless. Working with Chanel to plan everything was an absolute dream. She was kind, responsive, professional and completely on top of things. She helped me choose appetizers, answered every question and never once made me feel like our requests were a bother. When we arrived, I was blown away by the perfect setup they had waiting for us. So if you are frantically Googling “Palm Springs restaurant for large groups,” THIS IS YOUR PLACE. The menu is also fantastic for a group because there is genuinely something for everyone. I especially love that Lulu’s has entire gluten-free and vegetarian menus rather than treating those guests like an afterthought. When you are planning for 30+ different humans, that matters enormously. And then there was Ramon. ❤️ I genuinely do not know how one person takes care of a group our size on a busy Saturday night and remains friendly, funny, patient, professional and incredibly attentive, but Ramon did it. He was an absolute angel. He handled our giant table, questions, various needs and individual alcohol checks without ever seeming rattled or making anyone feel like they were asking too much. More importantly, he is just a wonderful human being. He laughed with us, took care of us and somehow made a table of 30+ people feel like we were his favorite table rather than the table that might make him reconsider his career choices. 😂 Ramon is an extraordinary representative of this restaurant and I hope Lulu’s knows exactly how special he is, because our entire group certainly does. And the food was delicious! Everyone was raving about their meals and with a group our size, I am fairly certain we collectively sampled dang near the entire menu. I have coordinated dinners like this for almost a decade and this was hands down the easiest and one of the best large-group dinners we have ever had. That does not happen by accident. It happens because people care. Chanel made everything before we arrived easy. Ramon made everything once we got there wonderful. We will absolutely be back. Please give these two all the flowers. They earned every single one. ❤️

My wife and I recently moved to the area, and after spending the day unpacking with our son, I decided to take her out for a late-night dinner so we could relax and unwind from the move. We started the evening with a nice walk downtown and eventually decided to have dinner at Lulu Bistro. We were seated in a timely manner, and right away we really enjoyed the atmosphere. Unfortunately, the service was where our experience started to fall short. After being seated, we waited more than 10 minutes before our waiter finally acknowledged us and told us he would be with us shortly. What disappointed us the most was the difference in how we were treated compared to the other tables around us. We noticed our waiter making friendly conversation with other guests, asking where they were from and taking the time to engage with them. When he came to our table, however, there was none of that same friendliness or conversation. We were simply asked what we wanted to order and whether we wanted water. It made the interaction feel very rushed and impersonal, especially when we could clearly see a different level of hospitality being given to the guests around us. The food itself was okay, the prices were reasonable, the drinks were pretty good, and the atmosphere was definitely one of the better parts of the experience. Unfortunately, service plays a big role in dining out, and the service we received is ultimately why I can only give Lulu Bistro three stars. I really wanted to enjoy this place, especially being new to the area and looking for restaurants that my wife and I can return to regularly. If you’re looking for a nice atmosphere, decent drinks, reasonable prices, and somewhere to relax without breaking the bank, Lulu Bistro may still be worth checking out. I just hope our experience with the service was an exception rather than the norm.
