  Horrible service, gross food handling, and unauthorized charges! I placed a pickup order 20 minutes in advance, and 10 minutes later I got a text saying it was ready. When I arrived, the restaurant was completely empty. Despite being the only customer, the front staff asked for my name—three separate times, making me sit down and wait each time while my order was supposedly already finished. I only get a 30-minute lunch break, and I wasted 20 minutes standing there with zero updates or communication while the staff just chatted and took their sweet time. What made it infinitely worse was watching the person cutting fish openly sneeze directly over the fish while laughing with the front-of-house staff. They didn't change gloves, didn't wash their hands, wiped their nose right on their shirt sleeve, and kept cutting raw fish. It was completely unsanitary and repulsive. To top it off, I requested extra ginger and cucumber on the side for my baked salmon roll, assuming they would tell me if there was an additional fee. Instead, two hours after leaving, I noticed an extra charge hit my card without my authorization or consent. If I had been told it cost extra, I would have gladly declined it. Just because it’s the slow season in Palm Springs doesn't mean you can treat the locals who live and work here with zero respect or basic courtesy. This place has seriously fallen off. Avoid!

  Loved the sushi. We had a take out and all was great and fresh.
