I went here with my wife last night for our 2nd anniversary and it was wonderful. I let them know prior that it was our anniversary and they made it special by making custom menu’s and giving us a free desert as well as displaying it in a special way! Our server was Aaron as well as Michael. Both gave us outstanding service. Aaron especially took wonderful care of us and was very friendly, courteous, and welcoming. Although the food was pricy, you get what you pay for. They have large cocktails and big portions. We got bread service, two sides, and 4 entrees. Everything was absolutely delicious and high quality. It is worth every penny. The only exception to this is I got the Chilean sea bass and although cooked to perfection with great texture, it was just a bit bland. Considering how the rest of the food tasted though, I can forget all about it. If you’re ever looking to go somewhere for something special, Mastro’s will make it worth your while!
Came here for my 2 year wedding anniversary, they were so kind and professional. Aaron was perfect in every way and made the experience memorable for my husband and I. Could not recommend more.

August 15 had reservations for our Anniversary, from the time we arrived we were greeted by Russ the manager who made us feel like Royality. We had the seafood tower it was out of this World! Then Russ sent over a chocolate desert which we could hardly finish. Cliff was our waiter and was also great. If you haven’t been to Mastro’s you have to go!

My husband and I had a great experience at Maestro’s in Palm Springs! The service was friendly and attentive, and the food was delicious and came out hot. We really enjoyed the atmosphere and had a great time enjoying our meal together. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we would definitely recommend it. We’ll definitely be coming back!
I’ve been a longtime Mastro’s customer in Chicago, so I was looking forward to spending an evening at the Palm Desert location. I ordered the A5 Wagyu Beef Roll, something I order regularly at Mastro’s, and I even told Lily that I get it all the time. I have a serious avocado allergy, and shortly after eating it, my tongue and the roof of my mouth started itching. I immediately took a Benadryl because I was concerned about the reaction progressing. The dish was taken away and replaced, but unfortunately, that was about the extent of the response.
What really disappointed me was how the situation was handled afterward. I wasn’t looking for a free dinner or trying to make a scene—I expected someone from management to recognize the seriousness of what had happened and genuinely make sure I was okay. Instead, Greg Wilson, the General Manager, made very little effort to take ownership of the situation or consider the fact that I had now taken Benadryl and was sitting at the table falling asleep, with the rest of my night effectively ruined. On a roughly $400 bill, the small adjustment that was made felt completely out of proportion to the seriousness of the situation.
I do want to give credit where it’s deserved: Lily was incredibly sweet and did a great job taking care of us, and Russell, the sommelier, was excellent and picked out a fantastic bottle of wine. My issue is not with them. Mistakes can happen, especially when a customer confidently orders something they regularly eat. The real disappointment was the lack of ownership and consideration from Greg Wilson after it happened. Mastro’s is a Landry’s-owned restaurant, and at this level of dining, I expected much more from the General Manager when a customer experiences an allergic reaction. I left disappointed, exhausted from the Benadryl, and feeling like the situation was never taken as seriously as it should have been.
