Whe where a group of 8 people. I'm speaking for my self and some point overall.
At this location we were for the first time. Have been to Malibu and Beverly hills.
The waiter did a horrible job.
Didn't ask if we want bread. Some ordered 🍺 and he had no idea who. My wife ordered beer, he didn't bring and after all happened to be an extra beer, the original he put it elsewhere. My bronzino was supposed to be broiled, but it came poached, with NO taste. Same for another person. Brossels sprouts came 🔥 burned, Returned. Never was offered a substitute.
Definitely didn't feel like I am at MASTROS.
MY wife ordered tea, not being asked what kind, or offered. Waiters respond was "You never told me".
I believe that's enough.
Went to the Palm Desert location Sunday for brunch. I had been saving
up to take my mom here, but after she passed away, I decided to take
my best friend in honor of both our late mothers. The interior was
gorgeous and comfortably cool. We were the second table seated and
were looking forward to an excellent Mother’s Day brunch—but we were
in for a shock. The pastries weren't fresh, the prime rib was raw, and
the pork was dry and salty. The coffee was cold, and worst of all, the
waffles were completely dried out. Even their "warm butter cake" was nothing special. We even had to ask for milk
repeatedly. On a happier note, the piano player was awesome. I never
expected the food quality to be so poor for these prices; a local
diner makes better waffles and serves hotter coffee. When I brought
the waffle to the server's attention, he simply said he’d "tell the
kitchen." That was it. Nothing we ate was impressive enough for the
price—not even the shrimp. To make matters worse, there was a fly
buzzing around our table the entire visit. We just wanted to leave.
Honestly, I was almost grateful my mom wasn't there to experience such
a disappointing tribute.

Masto’s is a culinary gem that truly shines with its steak and mashed potatoes. From the moment you step inside, the welcoming atmosphere sets the stage for an exceptional dining experience.
The steak is nothing short of perfection. Cooked to your desired level of doneness, each bite is tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. The seasoning enhances the natural taste without overpowering it, making every mouthful a delight. Whether you go for the classic ribeye or the filet mignon, you won’t be disappointed.
Now, let’s talk about the mashed potatoes. Creamy and velvety, they strike the perfect balance between smoothness and a slight chunkiness that adds character. The rich buttery flavor is complemented by just the right amount of seasoning, making them the ideal sidekick to the steak.
The service at Masto’s is equally impressive; the staff is attentive and knowledgeable, ensuring your meal is nothing short of fantastic.
If you’re looking for a place that excels in both steak and mashed potatoes, Masto’s is a must-visit. It’s a dining experience that will leave you eagerly anticipating your next visit. Highly recommend!

A bit off from the norm. Service was awesome. The food wasn't up to par. Bread service was not warm. Shrimp cocktail was not chilled and a bit fishy (not good). Salads very tasty. Great cocktails.

Mastro's Steakhouse in Palm Desert is definitely worth checking out, and honestly more than once. Of course, Mastro's Beverly Hills is already known for being phenomenal, but when you're out in the desert and looking for a true fine dining experience, this is the spot.
Perfect for anniversaries, date nights, or any special occasion, you really can’t go wrong here. The staff is always friendly, smiling, and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better and keeps you wanting to come back.
The food is easily a 10 out of 10. Every steak is cooked perfectly, and the bartenders really know what they’re doing with the cocktails. Overall, just an amazing dining experience from start to finish.
