This place took a nosedive. Used to love the burger and double-battered fried with a strawberry lemonade. Today I found out they've switched from double-battered to regular frozen fries which taste TERRIBLE. The lemonade was also very bland and watery, and delivered to me without a straw, making it difficult to drink. This location and maybe all Lazy Dog's have lost my business.

This Lazy Dog has to be the worst one we have been to. To start, the receptionist was not very friendly. We had a reservation and we were seated immediately, but things went downhill from there. The restaurant just had a negative feel to it. None of the employees had a smile, there were several tables (far too many) that had not been cleaned off. It's as if nobody cared. Our server greeted us quickly and was friendly enough. Not great, but good enough. When we were ordering, I asked for my cheeseburger to be cooked medium or at least a little pink inside. He said the the cooks tended to overcook their burgers, so I ordered it medium rare. My wife ordered a chicken ceasar salad. When her salad came out it looked old and terrible. The romaine was all yellow, no green leaves. The lettuce looked old. The chicken was all but missing, but there were at least 40 or 50 croutons. The salad probably cost them $2 and they charged about $20. My burger was actually cooked a little pink inside, so ordering medium rare worked. However, there is no way the burger patty was a half pounder. It was dry and I know it was a frozen patty. The taste was terrible. It was like cardboard. No seasoning either. I added bacon and it was barely cooked and I have never seen bacon look so weird. It had a strange taste. Our server asked how everything was, I told him the salad didn't have much chicken and the lettuce looked old. He said "oh", and walked away. It's as if he had heard this a few times. We decided not to complain further and just pledge to never eat at Lazy Dog again. We had a bad dining experience at the Lazy Dog in Las Vegas a couple of months ago. This must be a chain wide issue. Cheap ingredients, dirty tables, and really bad tasting food. Do yourself a favor and eat some place else.

This was our first Lazy Dog experience and it was disappointing. Our server was not friendly, did not check in on our table, did not offer drink refills and seemed to be very eager for us to leave. He had to be reminded that two of our entrees came with desserts and seemed shocked when others at the table also ordered dessert. He dropped the payment device at the table as we were eating our deserts with a "when you're ready" and no inquiry for if everything was good. As we stood to leave our table, before I even stepped away someone was bussing it. I could understand if they were extremely busy but there were tons of empty tables and no waiting parties. The food portions were generous, but the kid's mac and cheese was dry and the huckleberry apple pie had raw dough on the bottom and no flavor. There was also a strong dog urine smell that kept wafting by the table. We ate indoors, and while I understand and support the concept of pet friendly patio dining, the smell inside was unexpected and off putting.

Horrible experience at this location. We usually go to the Brea location and never had a problem with service. Our server was not friendly whatsoever. Unpersonable, unapologetic for the cold dinner I received and by the time I got a new hot dish my daughter was done eating hers. Took a long time for waitress to come back to the table to say she will bring check then she never came back with it and I passed her walking to the bathroom. She finally brings it but I had cash not a card to put in merchant machine so I went to the counter to pay cash. She had someones food in her hands and seemed disturbed to have to get change. I wanted my whole change back but gave her the 20% anyway. She didnt deserve it!! We wont be back!! Brea location blows this place away with great service and food. The cost of food these days is insane why put up with shitty service and we didnt even get comped for cold food and long wait!

We have been regular patrons of Lazy Dog, but our recent visit was a horrific experience that ended in an emergency room run. If you value your pet's safety, exercise extreme caution at this location. During our visit, we ordered an item from the designated dog menu. Within minutes of consuming just a few bites from the provided bowl, our perfectly healthy, 22-month-old dog experienced sudden and violent physiological distress. She began vomiting profusely across the patio, shaking, and actively convulsing while crying out in obvious pain. We have never witnessed a reaction like this to any food or environment. It was undeniably clear that she either ingested a severe contaminant in the food served or encountered a toxic chemical or biological hazard on the patio itself. The behavior of the restaurant staff during this medical emergency was utterly unacceptable. Multiple employees witnessed our dog crying and convulsing on the patio , yet not a single person approached to offer assistance, inquire about the situation, or show a modicum of concern. The absolute indifference and lack of basic situational awareness from the team was staggering. Fearing she had ingested something life-threatening, we rushed her straight to the veterinary emergency room. The ER staff had to perform an immediate comprehensive assessment and administer stabilizing medications. While she is currently out of acute danger, we are still searching for answers regarding the exact toxin or hazard that caused this sudden decline. A healthy young dog does not suffer violent physical convulsions from clean food or a safe dining environment. Management must immediately investigate their kitchen sanitation, ingredient sourcing, and patio maintenance protocols. Until there is absolute assurance that this location is clear of hazards, do not bring your pets here. .
