- PLPhil LMay 8, 20263.0My mom was in the area for an appointment on Tuesday, May 5th, and decided to stop by this Krispy Kreme after receiving an email promotion advertising the Monday/Tuesday Original Glazed dozen for $12. When she got to the register, they tried charging $21.99 instead. Turns out the discount only applied if you scanned the barcode from the email, which neither we nor the employee realized at the time, so there was confusion about the promotion altogether. In hindsight, it makes sense, but it definitely could’ve been communicated more clearly. The donuts themselves were fresh and good, but the back-and-forth over the promotion kind of took away from the experience. 3/5 stars.
