  I try to avoid this Safeway as much as I can but it’s hard considering it’s right around the corner from me. The blonde haired older woman that’s a manager is my problem, she’s so rude and I question how she ever made it to manager in a customer service setting. I also think she’s racist, I just went through the lane and there was a lady in front of me and she was bagging the groceries which is weird for a manager to be doing that anyway when there are other employees… anyway she spoke to the lady in front of me the whole time and didn’t speak to me at all, I even smiled at her like any good spirited and happy person would do, still nothing and didn’t even greet me or speak a single word to me. She might also be racist which is terrible considering a lot of black people go there including me and I’m mixed. Both black and Hispanic so I get treated that way all the time but it should never happen in a business let alone by the managers or employees. Great Safeway but horrible customer service

  This is a lovely store and my review is only concerning my purchase at the deli this afternoon. I was there with my daughter and granddaughter. My daughter and I ordered sandwiches. My order was for thin sliced mortadella and Swiss. My daughter ordered a hot sandwich, my granddaughter opted for some snacks. We had planned to sit at the tables to the right of the deli, but it smelled awful (like a dirty, urine soaked homeless person), so we took our sandwiches and went to my daughter’s house. I opened my sandwich and was so very disappointed to find that it had just 2 thin pieces of mortadella (see attached) and the veggies I asked for, that I paid $8.99 for!! Really, Safeway?!? Is that what you would consider a normal deli sandwich! I should have returned it but had no time. I think I deserve a free sandwich to make up for this! If this is the norm, l will never order from this deli counter again. I’m hoping this was just an employee who needs more training, and also hope that more attention is paid to the dining area to make it a place that folks would like to eat in.

  I always thought Safeway was a Awesome place 😀..Not now!! The problem is the people who run this place which is Safeway in Oakley CA in the US is not a good idea to confirm.. I actually used the store for the pharmacy. I'm 60 years old.. Times have changed. No more such thing as RESPECT!! The Support team that answers the phone calls are good people..But Im afraid to say.. it's the problem is the pharmacist.. They think they are in control of your medicine..They are not good people..My Doctor is in Control of my Medical..Be very Careful..
