  The older lady the works at the bakery about 5 feet tall was very very rude to my mother and I and it’s disappointing because we grew up going to Safeway and have always loved the bakery and have bought so many cakes there and for us to experience the treatment we did from her is just sad and makes us never want to go back to the bakery there again. I hope they get a new bakery staff or at least get rid of her because nobody should ever experience what we did.

  The Laurel Road, Oakley Safeway store is clean and parking is great, but they repeatedly have the worst customer service, especially the deli. They claim they are short staffed, which is not any customers problem. On duty manager has a serious attitude problem. The only reason I continued to try over and over is that it is right by my home. I was hoping the terrible service was a rare episode. Unfortunately, it is not. It has happened 9 times within a few months. Safeway on Balfour and 2nd St in Brentwood really need to teach this store on what good service is. Contacted Corporate and store management.

  Beautiful store and good produce but… I had an unpleasant experience with an employee. Saturday 7/25 at around 2-3 pm I was at self check when the lady attending the self check out station, mid 60s dark hair, harsh dark eye liner, question me regarding my Signature select water bottle, “Where did you get that water battle….” In a tone as if I had taken it, I let her know I brought it from home, and she stated she “had to ask”. Nonetheless she should brush up on customer services skills because while this was happening my register was flashing yellow but she didn’t assist me she was worried about my water bottle that I brought from home.

  There is plenty of parking in the majority shaded Solar covered parking lot, but with it only having one Entrance/Exit door it can get a little busy when coming in or out. It's clean, as it should be being that it's fairly new, bathrooms are kept up with a wheelchair accessible stall and decent sized standard stalls. Im not the biggest fan of the way the products flow...meaning like freezer section is next to baby wipes etc. I just feel like it could have better Flow, but that's me being over critical. Overall it's a smaller Safeway then im used to but it's got all the everyday necessities. As long as you have a 'Club Card' if you don't, GET ONE and the App. I think we all can use/need as much price breaks and discounts as we can get!
