  Worst store to step foot in, in the entire bay area. Let’s start with the lines. They have 1 cashier moving like a snail so the line is literally from the back to the front of the store. No self checkout so you have to wait in line. If you’re getting one thing, good luck. Handleless bags? Whos idea was this. Might aswell just carry your items without bags. Everything is locked up so if you need something, it’s another 10 or 15 minute wait. You press the button and nobody shows up. You will also need a store employee to walk around with you and shop because they have to unlock it everything. But good luck finding somebody to do that because there’s only three people working in the entire store floor at the time. 1 cashier 1 standing at customer service doing nothing 1 trying trying to help other people unlock cabinets. A 10min store run is now 1 hour or longer depending how long it takes you to find someone to unlock the cabinets. If I was you id stay far away from this place. Unless you want to spend more time waiting in line the shopping. If they want your money they will fix these issues. It’s clear as day what’s going on because its like this everyday. If I could give this place negative 20 stars I would, thats how bad it is. Safeway do better people spending money with you don’t deserve this treatment.

  This is my second review I left within a week. I even made a new Gmail account because I can’t post another review on my main email. I can’t get ice cream in the store because it melts due to long long lines and not enough staff. Recently the owner did respond to my review (like he responds to everybody else’s reviews) but simply he just does not care. Please don’t let him fool you either. It’s sad that the owner acts like he “cares” replying to these poor reviews then does nothing. To the owner reading this drop your personal cell phone number and I’ll call you sometime to come up with a fix on this annoying issue (He wont, he’s a coward). Do you even care about your own customers or respect them. ofc don’t. This ruined my month seeing how this poor poor owner treats customers. Grow up dude you piss me off enough

  Cannot overexaggerate how inefficient this Safeway is. After having to abandon my cart more than once due to lines over twenty people long (they seem to only ever have two registers open) I had to start shopping elsewhere. Absolutely ridiculous

  Just shopped with Sway Coos Bay Oregon and had Destiney G as my completely inept checkout person. Really don't care about any mitigating circumstances but to have that person rep your company in that capacity is a crime. Your just saying to the buying (ex in my case) public....you do not care for their time or their money. I will not shop here again. Once was a Sway die hard. No longer.

  This has always been my local Safeway and they used to have self check out but after waiting 1 hour in line (Yes 1 hour im not lying) I’ve decided to stop shopping here all together. I believe they don’t care about customers and checking by the other reviews I’m sure you ( the person that’s reading this ) 100% agrees I don’t want my review herd, I want action taken NOW.
