  This is hands-down, my husband’s and my favorite Thai place. We have enjoyed meals here many times in the past few months. Most recently we celebrated our five-year wedding anniversary and they took such great care of us. The food is fresh and delicious. We will continue to share our love for this place with our friends and family.

  Oakland has a lot of decent Thai places, but most of them seem to follow the same playbook. While I haven't visited Daughter Thai enough to give it a definitive ranking—this was my first time ordering from it—I did enjoy the meal and am hopeful for future visits. Most importantly, the food had great flavor and the ingredients were of a good quality, definitely a step up from some other local places. Just keep in mind that when they say a dish is spicy—like the Pad Khua Kling I ordered—they mean it. I can't really comment on the atmosphere and service because I ordered takeout, but it seemed like a nice space. I'll be back.
