RH Ocean Grill absolutely deserves every bit of hype and praise it gets, the entire experience was incredible from start to finish. We came here yesterday to celebrate my husband’s birthday, and honestly, it could not have been a more perfect choice for the occasion. Between the atmosphere, the food, and the service, everything felt elevated and special. We started off with cocktails: he ordered the Paloma Rosa while I got the espresso martini. The Paloma Rosa was tangy, citrusy, and super refreshing without being overly sweet, while the espresso martini definitely leaned stronger on the espresso and alcohol side, which I don’t normally prefer but it was honestly fine. Both drinks paired perfectly with the seafood starters. To begin, we ordered two of the mini lobster rolls topped with caviar, and when I say these are an absolute MUST order, I genuinely mean it. They were so unbelievably good that we immediately ordered two more after the first bite. Yes, they’re tiny and probably only two bites each, but somehow those two bites are packed with so much flavor that you end up savoring every second of it. The buttery lobster combined with the richness of the caviar was honestly one of the best things we ate all night. Next came the half dozen oysters, and they were some of the freshest oysters I’ve had in a long time. Clean, simple, briny, and perfectly chilled, exactly how oysters should be. Sometimes simple really is best. For our mains, we ordered the charred Wagyu ribeye, the RH burger, and the truffle fries. The Wagyu ribeye was hands down the star of the night and absolutely worth every penny. It had this rich, buttery flavor with almost caramelized onion like notes that made every bite unforgettable. Even the fat cap, which I normally avoid, completely melted in your mouth and had this slightly sweet, buttery finish that was honestly amazing. You could really tell the quality of the meat was exceptional. The truffle fries were delicious too, crispy, flavorful, and impossible to stop eating. You really can’t go wrong with truffle fries here. The RH burger, however, was probably the only thing that felt a little underwhelming compared to everything else. It was still good, but nothing particularly memorable or unique. It honestly tasted like a really solid classic burger, but with so many standout dishes on the menu, I’d probably skip it next time and order another lobster roll or try something different instead. What also made the experience even better was our waiter, who was incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely helpful throughout the night. He gave great recommendations when we were deciding what to order and made us feel very welcomed the entire evening. Service like that really elevates the whole dining experience and made the celebration feel even more special. To top everything off, they surprised my husband with a complimentary banana split for his birthday, which was such a thoughtful touch and the perfect way to end the evening. The dessert was delicious, beautifully presented, and made the night feel even more special. Beyond the food, the restaurant itself is absolutely stunning. The interior design is gorgeous, elegant, and feels luxurious without being overwhelming. Every corner of the space is beautiful, and the ambiance alone makes the experience worth it. RH Ocean Grill truly lives up to its reputation, and I can already tell this is going to be one of those places we keep coming back to for special occasions.

My husband made the reservation couple weeks ago. We were recommended by our friend to give it a try for the nice environment. When we checked in with the hostess. We were told to wait for a moment. About 5-8 minutes later, another hostess(an older lady) led us to a table right by the entry door to the patio area. When we requested to switch to another table, the hostess was not happy and said that she would have to check. A moment later, she came back and told us that there was another table down at the end and that’s the only option that we had for now. If we’re still not satisfied, she would have to put us back on the waiting list. So we agreed to take the table at the end instead. We felt a lot better when our waiter, Stephen, came to greet us. He’s friendly and professional. We ordered our food and drink. The crispy artichoke and shrimp cocktail were delicious. The caviar with grilled avocado was tasty. The honey glazed salmon & sea bass were a bit overcooked. The King crab roll was decent. The wine and beverage were good. Overall the food was not bad. The atmosphere was good. The only complaint that we had was the hostess who led us to the table had a very obnoxious attitude.

I had brunch here for my Birthday and it was amazing!! Then recently I took my best friend for her Birthday and the burger did not taste as incredible as the first time and immediately after we both took a bite we both said McDonald’s!!! Why did the bun taste exactly like a McDonald’s bun. I couldn’t believe we were comparing this high end restaurant to McDonald’s!! They literally use the same buns!!..its a distinct taste. This had me very confused. The food is not the best but the view and ambience is everything ❤️

By far the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced—and on a day that actually mattered. My wife and I went to RH to celebrate just getting married, returning to the same place I took her on our first date. I even noted in the reservation that this was a special occasion. Clearly, that meant nothing. After being seated, we were completely ignored. No greeting, no water, no acknowledgment—nothing—for over 30 minutes. The restaurant wasn’t even busy. I finally had to get up and ask the front desk if anyone was planning to serve us. When someone eventually came to the table, there was no apology, no ownership—just a blank “has anyone been helping you?” She then asked if we were celebrating anything, and after we said we had just gotten married, her response was a flat, disinterested “congrats, what would you like to drink?” It felt forced, robotic, and honestly disrespectful given the situation. At that point, the damage was done. The lack of awareness, urgency, and basic hospitality completely ruined the experience. We chose to leave rather than spend another minute there. On our way out, we informed the front desk we were leaving, hoping someone might show even a little concern. Instead, we got a casual “okay, we’ll cancel the reservation.” No apology. No attempt to fix anything. Nothing. For a place that prides itself on ambiance and reputation, the service is shockingly bad. Don’t be fooled by the aesthetic—this place runs on appearances, not actual hospitality. Thankfully, we went elsewhere and were treated the way guests should be. That contrast made it even clearer: RH isn’t just overrated—it’s careless.

We went to the RH Rooftop Restaurant expecting a high-end dining experience, but it ended up being more about the atmosphere than the food. The space itself is beautiful—very photogenic and clearly designed for Instagram. Walking up through the showroom to the rooftop adds to the “experience,” and you can tell it carries that Restoration Hardware prestige. That said, the food didn’t live up to the price point. It wasn’t bad—it was decent—but nothing memorable. I ordered the petite filet and my wife had the steak frites, and honestly, the steaks were nearly identical despite the price difference. Same sauce, similar quality—hers was just sliced. For what you pay, you expect more distinction. Everything is also very à la carte and full of upcharges. Truffle fries? Upcharge. Even the cocktail details—like a branded ice cube in their Old Fashioned—came with an extra charge that wasn’t disclosed upfront. It starts to feel excessive pretty quickly. We also noticed there’s no kids’ menu, which is fine for an upscale spot, but worth noting if you’re dining as a family. The burger and sides were okay, but again, nothing that stood out. All in, our bill was around $400, and it just didn’t match the overall value. I’ve had significantly better meals at nicer restaurants for less. If you go, go for the ambiance, drinks, and photos—it’s great for that. But if you’re going strictly for food quality, there are definitely better options out there.
