  I’ve been a regular customer at this Five Guys for the past few years, usually coming about once to twice a month, so this experience was especially disappointing. On August 16, 2026, at around 3:30 PM, we had gotten a table and were about to order when my infant started crying and needed milk. The milk we brought was too hot, so I asked a female employee for some ice to cool it down. The employee first questioned, “have you ordered anything?” I then responded, “‘not yet, but I will soon.” After that, I was immediately told I would need to pay the full price of a regular drink cup because I hadn’t ordered food yet. And I confirmed again with her, and yes, she wanted to charge for the ice with the cost of a regular drink. I thought it was a little odd to be charged that amount just for ice, but I was completely fine with paying. Since I didn’t have my credit card with me, I had to take my crying infant back out to the parking lot under high temperature, get my credit card, and come back inside. When I returned to the register, a different male cashier told me the ice was actually free and that he could not charge me for anything. I insisted, because I had the card ready, but the surrounding cashier members all thought that it was hilarious that I wanted to pay for the ice. They all affirmed that I could not, and did not have to pay for it even when I kept asking them to run the credit card I had that time in a desperate need for cooling my infant’s milk. My issue isn’t that I was asked to pay—I was absolutely willing to do so during such a messy situation when my infant was crying non-stop. The frustrating part was being given incorrect and inconsistent information, which caused an unnecessary trip back and forth while I was trying to care for my crying infant. As someone who has been coming here regularly for years, I hope management looks into what happened during the August 16 afternoon shift and makes sure this particular employee is giving customers consistent information. The employee might need some common sense education when facing customers.

  It may cost a little more than other burger places.But it is definitely worth it! The burger is great and the fries are simply incredible! I enjoyed sitting in the atrium by the fountain. It's much nicer than sitting inside a restaurant. Very friendly service.

  This is another attempt at giving Five Guys a chance. I went to a completely different location and ordered a plain cheeseburger. They didn’t ask me if I wanted a double or a single patty like they did my first visit in Fort Worth. I also didn’t know it came with mushrooms. Something I definitely could have done without. Again if you have been following my reviews, I like my meat cooked thoroughly or very well done. This place overcooked the fries, they were not golden brown but dark brown. Overall a hard pass on Five Guys.

  Haven't had Five guys in years. I'm glad I decided to go to Fashion Island and enjoy lunch today. Great 👍 food and service.
