Clean grocery store but the manager was very rude. At least I believe he was a manager. I asked to use the restrooms from the guy working at Starbucks and where they were located and he told me where to go and gave me the code when I got to the back of the store where they were located I realized there were two restrooms. I was relieved to see this because I have IBS and sometimes I may be in the loo longer than the average person. I would like to add that I also drive for Uber and finding public restrooms can sometimes be challenging. About 5 minutes after I was there someone had put the code in without knocking first and for some reason the push button lock on the inside of the door must have been faulty because he was able to open the door and I had to yell someone is in here before he got the door opened very far. Mind you these are gender neutral restrooms, which I don't mind as long as the lock on them works! Within the next few minutes I heard at least two people outside the restrooms talking quite loudly about how long someone is taking in the restroom and how long they have been waiting. Ne31xt there was a bang on the dor and a gentleman's voice asked me "how long are you going to be in there?!" At this time, I had just started washing my hands and I said "I'm washing my hands now but I will take as long as I need too, isn't there two restrooms?" And then from what I could tell on the other side of the door the same gentleman responded rather rudely about how long I had been in there and that there was a 15-minute limit and it was time for me to come out. I finished washing and drying my hands and open the door with a paper towel on the handle, as I normally do, tossed the tower in the newspaper basket and went out to see 3 people standing in front of the two restrooms and I went directly to the first gentleman and I said were you banging on the door what I wanted to know I want to be even in there for 15 minutes and I said to him you know you don't know if I have a medical condition or not and that was very rude of you to do that just as I said that a gentleman dressed and what look like maybe manager attire walked up behind the three people and said "I am the one who knocked and spoke because he asked me to check and said that you had been in there for over 15 minutes". I responded with "have you ever heard of people having medical conditions?! So very rude!" For the record I would like to say that I'm also a medical assistant who has a long history of diabetes in my family and I know that someone who needs to check their blood sugar and possibly take their insulin could take at least 10 minutes in the restroom. I was going to buy a few items while in Safeway, which is my grocery store of choice in my hometown, but because of this incident, I was very embarrassed and I decided to leave.

The manager here (Diana) was one of the most unhelpful person actually. We went to see someone at customer service and were informed by the manager herself that they were short staffed and so had to close the service center. Instead of bothering to check what was the concern about, she just asked us to wait in line at the checkout to “see if they can help you out”! Any manager would’ve had the courtesy to ask whether they can help the customer or not. She just asked us to “come back another day” if not willing to wait in the line at the cashier’s checkout. We stood in the line to find out that the cashier didn’t know how to do returns or exchange on a DoorDash pickup order, and called the “Manager-Diana” for help. The manager came and goes like, “oh they didn’t tell me it was a DoorDash return”!!! As if she even bothered to ask in the first place when we had approached her (being unaware that she was indeed the manager). Terrible when a manager does that- the “I don’t care” attitude. We understand the situation as we’re also employed somewhere. Being short staff can be frustrating. But I certainly didn’t appreciate when a manager sets such an example!

Several aisles were all behind lock and key. It made it extremely inconvenient to do any shopping.
