The main entrance service was somewhat irritating, we did not book the reservation, and the waitress kept me waiting, finally another waiter asked another guy with us to sit inside. There were both empty tables inside and outside. I am not sure what really blocked the waitress to seat us, but definitely not happy.

Although there appeared to be available seating outside, the staff refused to accommodate us. The person helping us, who said he was the owner, challenged me to "find a way" to seat our group outside instead of trying to help or explaining the situation politely. Even if seating us outside truly wasn't possible, the issue wasn't the seating—it was the rude and dismissive way we were treated. That's not the level of hospitality I'd expect from a restaurant of this caliber. If this is how the owner interacts with potential customers, it doesn't leave much confidence in the overall customer experience. Unfortunately, after this interaction, I won't be returning.

Here is my personal ranking of what we ordered today: 1️⃣ Doppio Zero (White Pizza): My absolute favorite! I loved the refreshing combination of arugula and prosciutto, but what stole the show was the pizza crust—so chewy, pillowy, and perfectly elastic. 2️⃣ Ravioli: This was my first time trying ravioli, and it did not disappoint. The mushroom filling inside was a wonderful and delicious surprise! 3️⃣ Gnocchi: A very unique and tasty combination. The rich aroma of basil 🌿 and olive oil perfectly complemented the gnocchi, and the addition of eggplant 🍆 was a delightful, unexpected twist. 4️⃣ Tiramisu: The perfect "adult-style" tiramisu. It wasn't overly sweet, and the rich coffee flavor was incredibly satisfying. 5️⃣ Marechiaro: A squid ink pasta dish with a pleasant, tangy flavor profile. The pasta was cooked to a nice, firm al dente, and it came loaded with plenty of scallops! Highly recommend this place if you're in Mountain View!

Because it was a significant occasion, I made precise arrangements well in advance. I left a note on the initial reservation, followed up with a detailed message on OpenTable, and received no response. I then called the restaurant directly. The staff member who answered explicitly promised me that they could accommodate my two small requests: a simple welcome header printed on the daily menu and a chocolate message written on a dessert plate at the end of the meal. On the day of our lunch, the staff on duty had absolutely no record of these requests. After multiple rounds of awkward questioning and checking around, they finally managed to produce the printed menu. However, the promised dessert plate never arrived. It felt like the person who took my call and made those promises didn't even work there. To make matters worse, the service staff looked annoyed and miserable the entire time. When I asked our server to take a quick group photo, their impatience was palpable. This wasn't a hectic weekend rush—it was a weekday lunch, the indoor dining room was virtually empty, and there were only a couple of tables occupied outside. There was zero excuse for that level of hostility. Lastly, be aware of hidden costs. We were charged $8 per bottle for sparkling water without any upfront disclosure. When charging that much for water, the server should explicitly state the cost when offering it. While the food was decent, it is highly overrated and vastly overpriced for the subpar service and unwelcoming atmosphere. I will not be returning, and I do not recommend this place for hosting professional or special events.
