  Amazing place! Great ambience and great service! We came with a big family, were quickly accommodated. We enjoyed the every meal we ordered. Fresh ingredients and flavors savored on every bite! Momo is a must! Check out chicken biryani too!! Tikka masala was loved by everyone!!

  Pretty poor experience considering the food was decent. Extremely slow service as other commenters have mentioned - you can clearly see Doordash / takeaway orders getting prioritised. But the more concerning part was the rudeness and outright discrimination. We were consistently outright ignored by the main owner / manager who went and schmoozed with non-Indians. It was laughable that my first instance of discrimination in the US was in a freaking Indian restaurant

  A party of 2 people which came after us got seated by a waiter before us ( a party of 3 people) on a table meant for 4 people. When I called out the guy, he started saying they came before you (what?!!) and I asked him to ask his manager since he was not even out front when both of the groups came him. He then quietly sneaked out and tried signaling that I will get you seated. This has never happened before. I didn't know this happens in US restaurants. After this even if you serve the best food in the world , it's still a shitty overall situation. Pretty annoyed.

  Words genuinely don’t do Namaste India Bistro justice. Everything about this place was absolutely amazing! from the warm hospitality to the incredible food and atmosphere. Every dish was full of flavor, fresh, and perfectly prepared. You can really tell they put care into every detail. The service was just as impressive! welcoming, attentive, and made us feel right at home. Seriously amazing experience from start to finish. Easily one of the best meals we had in Monterey, and we’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!

  We had a really disappointing experience with the timing policy at Namaste India Bistro in Monterey. We reached around 8:45 PM, well before their stated closing time, but were flatly refused service. What made it worse was that there was already another group seated inside who hadn’t even been served yet — so it’s hard to understand why we couldn’t be accommodated as well. It felt inconsistent and honestly quite unfair. If the kitchen was already closed or unable to take new orders, that should be clearly communicated or reflected in their listed hours. Turning customers away while others are still being seated or waiting for food sends a very confusing message. We made the effort to come in before closing, but the experience left us frustrated and unwelcome. Definitely something they need to handle better.
