One of the best Indian restaurants that I have visited in Monterey. We liked it so much that we went there twice in a row while we were vacationing in Monterey.
Hospitality and service have been great. Staff is professional and takes good care. Food was authentic. I recommend anyone visiting the town to have a dinner here.

Extremely Disappointing — Bad Food and Unprofessional Service
One of the worst Indian food experiences we’ve had. We ordered Veg Biryani and Malai Kofta, expecting a decent meal, but both dishes were extremely disappointing.
The Veg Biryani had almost no authentic biryani flavor or aroma. It tasted more like heavily colored rice with vegetables than actual biryani. The taste was completely off and we couldn’t enjoy it at all.
The Malai Kofta was just as bad. The gravy lacked the rich, creamy taste you expect from this dish, and the kofta did not taste fresh. For the price we paid, the quality was absolutely unacceptable.
What made the experience even worse was the unprofessional attitude of the staff. Instead of handling concerns respectfully and professionally, their behavior made an already disappointing experience even more frustrating.
Bad food is one thing, but bad food combined with poor customer service is enough reason not to return. Based on our experience, I absolutely cannot recommend this place. There are far better options for Indian food. Also heavy wait times very heavy wait times

We came here because of the 4.2-star rating, even though we saw quite bad reviews. We thought we’d give it a shot, but those negative reviews turned out to be right. If you’re coming for authentic Indian food, you’re probably going to be disappointed. The food was just average, but honestly, what made it worse was the service. My three-year-old was playing with a glass, and instead of respectfully asking us to stop him, someone who seemed to be the owner or manager walked over, snatched the glass from his hand, took all the glasses from our table, and later gave us tiny disposable cups for all four of us. That felt completely unnecessary and disrespectful. A polite request would have been enough. Then we waited about 50 minutes for our food. They brought momos first, and after we finished, we waited another 15–20 minutes for the main dishes. When they finally brought fresh plates, they took the used forks from our appetizer plate and placed them right back onto our clean dinner plates. That’s not okay. To make things worse, no one checked on us the entire time. We felt completely ignored. There are very few vegetarian options, and prices are on the higher side—which might be expected in a tourist area—but that still doesn’t justify rude and unprofessional behavior. Overall, this was a really disappointing experience. I won’t be coming back, and I can’t recommend this place. One out of five stars.

The staff was kind and the atmosphere is nice. The salmon masala and palak paneer were decent but we ordered Momos as an appetizer and frozen supermarket potstickers arrived at our table (for which we were charged $14.) They were clearly not Momos, and they definitely weren't worth $14- I would've much rather they just told us they were out. For two people, including 1 beer, the bill was almost $100. Very pricey and really worth it.

we went to the restaurant at 8:40pm, front staff straight denied that we are closed.
online mentioned restaurant closing time 9:00pm.
I would request to change the time online, if you say restaurant close at 9:00pm it means you are taking services till 9:00pm. While got denied then call in restaurant to ask if we can do take out, same guy answer the call and said we are closed, I requested if you can do take out few items then he replied everything is closed even lights has been off.
Think for taking customers until you have mentioned the time online.
