Food was delicious and luz was very friendly and attentive to our party
Roses are red, the morning is bright, pass me the French, And toast it just right. So without further delay, let's begin this kook review.
Madres Brunch (est 2025) is a new breakfast/brunch spot tucked in the middle of Old town Monrovia. They have 7 other locations throughout SoCal and a great addition to the neighborhood.
It's interior design is modern with huge wall decorated with neon signs and colorful art work. Similarly, they have a welcoming atmosphere and attentive service staff. We came here late Sunday morning to grab breakfast. Its surprising that we did not wait and sat immediately. But it got busy by the time we left. Their food and drink menu was compendious with pink bold fonts and heart emoji. Food was a mixture of American and Mexican flavor. I personally find some of the food names funny such as "Divorciados" lol. One could imagine what it was. And no I did not order it. I had something more healthy meal--Salmon toast x salad and House blend coffee. Brioche toasts were thick, delightful and tasty but the salmon was dry and thin. Coffee was terrific.
Luz, a young female service staff with beautiful blue almond eyes, was attentive and nice. Prices were fair for the area and reflects the food portion. Plenty of public parking lot in the surrounding area.
Overall, I enjoyed having breakfast at MB and will come back again in a not too distant future. ;D I recommend you visit.

Good vibes all around. Loved the atmosphere, the food was good and our server was friendly and took good care of us.
Honestly, the wait time at Madres Brunch in Monrovia is ridiculous. You literally spend more time waiting for your food than you do actually eating it. What should have been a nice brunch turned into sitting around hungry and wondering when our food was ever going to come out.
I understand restaurants get busy, especially during brunch hours, but the wait was beyond unreasonable. If the kitchen cannot handle the number of customers being seated, then something needs to change. There is no excuse for customers to wait an excessive amount of time for a meal they can finish in 20 minutes.
The whole experience was frustrating because by the time the food arrived, we were already annoyed from waiting so long. Going out to brunch is supposed to be enjoyable, not an endurance test.
The food might be good, but I don't think any meal is worth waiting that long. Management seriously needs to work on their kitchen efficiency and service because the wait times are unacceptable. Definitely not the experience I expected, and I would think twice before coming back.

Our party of 9 was seated immediately, and serviced promptly! Our server, Luz, checked in with us regularly and even comped us some drinks. I ordered The One breakfast sandwich, which was an amazing birria sandwich with an incredible consomme. Overall, the energy from the staff was amazing, they genuinely seem to enjoy working here and with each other. I would absolutely recommend eating here for breakfast or brunch. 😁
