The visit started off great. They took my order quickly, took my payment quickly, and got my food and drink out fast. The only thing missing was a straw, which normally would not have been a big deal.
I waited at the drive-thru window for about a minute with several cars behind me trying to politely get someone’s attention for a straw. There were at least five employees visible, and they were clearly looking at me, yet nobody acknowledged me or asked if I needed help. I even gave a quick tap on my horn just to get someone’s attention, but still nothing.
After waiting another 3–4 minutes, an employee finally opened the window only to hand me a large order meant for the car behind me and immediately slam the window shut. I had to stop her again and explain that I was still waiting for my straw. There was no apology, no acknowledgment of the confusion, no “thank you,” nothing. She simply snatched the bag back, shoved a straw into my hand, and shut the window abruptly.
I understand this is McDonald’s and staffing can be challenging these days, but when customers are paying premium prices for fast food, basic customer service should still matter, especially with wages now exceeding $20 an hour.
To make matters worse, I tried calling the store afterward and reached an outsourced answering service where the representative didn’t appear to speak English or Spanish.
Very disappointed and frustrated with the experience.

BEWARE! I Ordered through the app for pickup and was charged. When I arrived, the drive thru was blocked and lobby was closed. Why are they accepting orders when we are unable to pickup food?
